GC-304 Lila's Sticky Lick-Box

CHAPTER ONE

Carol Palm woke lazily. She was lying alone in her bed for a change and was nude, which
was not unusual at all. Her long legs parted, separating the lips of her cunt in the process
and her right hand automatically sought out her clit. She began massaging the jutting
button fondly, feeling her juices starting to flow. She kept her green eyes closed, her black
lashes lying long and silky on her smooth cheeks. As her left hand reached up to her full
breasts, she began stroking them, tweaking her pink nipples until they stood out rosy and
perky. Her other hand between the lips of her cunt began moving faster now and her head
spun toward the memory of Lila, the girl she had seen in the gay bar last night.

Carol had wanted to talk to Lila, but it was almost impossible to even get close to her.
She was so pretty, she was continuously surrounded by other girls who kept her busily
dancing until the bar closed.

Carol had sat at her table, staring at Lila and drinking her beer morosely. Once, she had
approached Lila in order to ask her to dance. Lila‘s blue eyes had flashed with interest, but
just then another girl had intervened and Carol had slunk back to her table, feeling beaten.
Now, as her fingers expertly flicked her thickening clit back and forth and up and down,
Carol envisioned what it would be like to have Lila‘s tongue down there, sucking and
licking. Just the idea made Carol‘s hips rise off her bed in a frantic bucking motion and a
great hiss of air escape from her full lips. She had to meet Lila! She didn‘t know why she was
so obsessed this way, but she was, and her desire for the beautiful strange girl filled her
with a gnawing sensation that even her skillful fingers could not assuage.

Lila! She cried silently, twisting and rocking her shapely hips from side to side, building
towards her climax. Oh Lila! Now Carol began shuddering, biting her lower lip, tossing
her head back and forth on her pillow, feeling her blood racing faster and faster through
her body. With her active imagination, it was as real as life to her that Lila was bringing
these waves of pleasure that coursed through her young body. Then, with a final gasp, it was
over, and Carol‘s hips sank back down on her bed and her hand moved away from her
throbbing cunt. Though she would have liked to keep her hand there longer, the intensity
of her orgasm was so acute, it only brought her pain.

When a few minutes had passed, Carol swung her long legs over the side of the bed and
stood up. Yawning and stretching, the sight she presented would have given a Peeping
Tom an eyeful, should he have been able to scan the twenty stories that separated Carol‘s
body from the street. It was a better body than most twenty-three year old girls were
fortunate to have, and Carol knew it. She took great pride in her body, walking instead of
riding and watching her diet. The results of this kind of care were obvious even to the
casual observer, and Carol had her hands full, staving off the leering men who gaped after
her as she pranced proudly along the Village streets, laughing to herself that they should
be so obtuse as to desire her.

Carol only dug women. Ever since high school she had preferred a nice warm tongue to
a stiff hard prick, and she doubted she would ever change. Nor did she want to change. In
fact, the only thing right now about her life that Carol would change, would be the insertion
of Lila into her life.

When she finished her shower and had dressed in the tight blue jeans and cool blouse
she had laid out the night before, Carol hit the Saturday street life of a summer Village
morning. She went to her corner grocery store to pick up a few things, complaining all the
while to herself over the increased prices. In fact, Carol was in a pretty vile mood
considering the fact that she had gotten her rocks off not that long ago. Nothing, but
nothing, would put a smile on her face until she had her head buried between Lila‘s thighs.

As she took her place in line at the check-out section, Carol gasped. She wasn‘t sure, but
it looked as though the girl first in line was Lila! Carol‘s heart began pounding. She longed to
call out to this girl‘s back, "Lila!“, but Carol functioned enough in the straight world to avoid
making an ass out of herself. However, her agitation grew and she pushed forward in the
line, trying to hurry those in front of her up so that she might follow the slender figure of
the girl who was now leaving the store.

"Stop pushing!“ the old woman in front of her said in annoyance, turning around to
glare at Carol. Carol gazed down into her wizened face in exasperation.

"Here!“ she said to the woman, laying her small armful of groceries on the
astonished woman. Then she ran out the door.

Up ahead she could see the girl, walking along and once, (as she turned to gaze into a
store window), Carol was sure that that perfect profile belonged to the elusive Lila. Her
heart was racing so fast on the summer street, Carol felt sure she would have a heart attack,
but she pushed forward, knocking little kids out of the way in her hurry to stand next to Lila.

This is crazy! She told herself. You‘ve got to get your shit together! But it was no use to
apply this social restriction on her behavior. She no longer gave a fuck what others
would think of her actions. She broke into a run and began calling aloud: "Lila! Lila!“

The girl stopped and turned then, her face a question mark of surprise. Carol
inadvertently gasped when faced with the sheer beauty of this lovely girl. She tried to smile,
but her throat was dry from the effort of running and her own panic. As for Lila, her blue
eyes were bemused as she waited for the panting Carol to catch up with her.

"I thought it was you,“ Carol said, finally standing next to Lila. Now that she had
actually captured Lila‘s attention, she felt foolish as though she was back in grade school.

"I‘m sorry,“ Lila said lightly, "do I know you?“

"Last night,“ Carol stammered, "at the Purple Cat. I was watching you.“ Lila laughed
easily. "Oh, wow!“ she said. "I was really so busy it seemed as though I had met everyone!
But I don‘t remember you. I‘m sorry.“

"I am too,“ Carol said, feeling like an asshole.

Now what, she wondered? Lila! She wanted to yell. Let‘s go to your place, or my place or
anyplace. Let‘s just the two of us spend some time together! But she couldn‘t come right out
like that and express her innermost feelings so she began shuffling in front of the
impressive Lila, wishing the sidewalk would swallow her up.

"Where are you going now?“ she finally blurted. "I didn‘t know you lived in the
neighborhood.“

"I just moved in from upstate,“ Lila said. "I‘m new.“

"I live around here too,“ Carol said. "Would you like to see my place?“ Lila glanced at her
watch. "Well,“ she said slowly, "I‘m supposed to meet some friends later on this afternoon,
but what the hell? Why not!“ She smiled gaily and Carol felt as though she had died and gone
to heaven. It had been much easier than she had anticipated, but what the fuck was she
going to do now? Just because Lila had agreed to see her apartment didn‘t mean shit! But
she fell into step with the taller Lila, trying to control the pounding of her heart and her
general all-round foolish feelings.

She wanted to know so much about Lila. How old she was, what she did for a living, what
kind of life she had lived that had made her decide she was gay. There was so much to know
and there was so much to taste and savor about her! Carol wanted to have sex with Lila so
badly, the fact that she had just come a short while ago was as though it had never happened.
Playing with herself just couldn‘t approximate the sensation she would receive from
the living, breathing person walking along with her now!

"We‘re almost there,“ she said, almost apologetically. She wished she could make her
apartment appear right on the spot, and more specifically, she wished she could make her
bed materialize on the sidewalk so she could dispense with all this bullshit and just
fucking get it on with her!

"I‘ve got some milk and eggs with me,“ Lila said, referring to her package. "Could I put
them in your refrigerator?“

"Sure!“ Carol replied, leading the way into her building. That meant to Carol that Lila was
planning on spending a little time with her anyway.

"Where is your stuff?“ Lila asked suddenly. "Weren‘t you shopping?“

"I just got cigarettes,“ Carol lied. Lila must have seen her in the store after all! They were
in the fast-rising elevator now and Carol frantically went over the disarray that she had
left her apartment in. She didn‘t want Lila to think she was a sloppy housekeeper. Maybe she
would think that she was as careless with the care of her cunt as she was with her pad! And
that simply was not true. If there was one thing Carol prided herself on, it was the fact that
her cunt was always ready to be eaten out! Fresh as a daisy and moist and clean, that‘s the
way Carol kept the most important part of her anatomy and she hoped Lila felt the same
way.

But her desire for Lila was so strong that had Lila not bathed in a week, Carol felt as
though she would just hold her nose and dive face first into her muff!

"Hey!“ Lila was saying, as she stood surveying Carol‘s apartment. "This is really nice!
You must make a lot of money to have a place like this!“

She looked at Carol accusingly, as though making a lot of money meant she had sold
out to the system.

Carol didn‘t answer right away. She felt guilty enough as it was over the fact that her
parents were rich and gave her anything that she wanted. But the one thing they didn‘t give
her was the most important thing she desired from them: acceptance. Nevertheless she
took their money and pursued her own lifestyle, despite their pleas to "straighten up, settle
down with a nice boy and get married!“

Carol was afraid to come right out and tell Lila she had this extra income. She wanted
Lila to like her for herself and not the fact that she was on some kind of unlimited expense
account from her folks.

"I do all right,“ she said, going towards the refrigerator and putting Lila‘s things
inside.

"God! It‘s hot!“ she exclaimed. "Do you want a beer or something?“ Lila laughed out
loud. It was such a cheerful, careless sound that Carol almost came right then and there.

"It‘s awfully early for a beer isn‘t it?“ she asked. "But then again, I still have a bit of a head
from last night. Maybe it will straighten me out.“

"Good!“ Carol said. She opened two cold beers and gave one to Lila. Taking a big swill
from her own, Carol welcomed the looseness the beer would impart to her brain, making
her bolder than she normally would be. She sat down on the couch next to Lila. Though she
yearned to know everything there was to know about Lila, right now she only wanted to know
her in bed.

Lila began to relax, leaning back against the couch and holding her beer carelessly
between her parted thighs. Carol tried not to stare at the spot where she yearned to bury her
face, but it was difficult.

They began talking, slowly at first and then with the excitement of two people who find
they have much in common.

"What did you think about the Cat?“ Carol wanted to know.

"I loved it,“ Lila said. "We didn‘t have a bar like that in the hick town I came from. And it
was nice to find a place in the city where I could feel completely at home.“

"I know what you mean,“ Carol said, rising reluctantly from the closeness of Lila on the
couch in order to replenish their beers.

"Wow! Look at me!“ Lila cried, amused at her behavior. "Not in New York more than a
few days and already going to hell in a barrel!“

She seemed delighted by the fact. Carol didn‘t answer right away. She wondered just
how far into hell Lila was willing to go!

Lila then wanted to know how long Carol had been in New York and Carol talked
guardedly about her own past.

She had grown up in New York, though Uptown. Park Avenue to be exact, though she
tried to downplay this information to Lila. But the implications of growing up on Park
Avenue escaped Lila entirely.

"Gee,“ she said. "I don‘t know if I‘d dig having my parents so close!“ Carol smiled to
herself. There was no doubt in her mind that she was far more sophisticated than Lila. She
knew that Park Avenue was as far removed from the life she led in the Village as Lila‘s own
parents were living way upstate.

Carol became very interested in the fact that despite Lila‘s beauty, she seemed totally
unselfconscious about the way she appeared to others. Her speech was full of gollies
and gee whizes and Carol wondered with sadness how long it would be before Lila realized
the value of her beauty and freshness. Carol was beginning to feel very old next to Lila, but
this only made her feel more protective.

"How old are you?“ she finally asked, now that she had regained her composure.

"Nineteen,“ Lila answered easily, bringing the can of beer to her gorgeous lips and
taking a deep swallow of the liquid. Carol stared at the way the fluid ran down Lila‘s lovely
throat.

"I dropped out of college,“ Lila went on, "it was too boring.“ She put her beer down on
the coffee table in front of them and lit a cigarette. Carol felt jealous, seeing anything in
Lila‘s mouth other than her own body, but she too lit a cigarette.

The tension was building in the apartment between them and Carol felt it would be up
to her to break it.

"Well,“ Lila said, looking again at her watch, "thanks for showing me your place. I think
I‘d better get going.“

She started to rise.

"No!“ Carol cried, surprised at the vehemence in her voice. "I mean,“ she added more
gently, "I wish you didn‘t have to run off so quickly.“

"Well,“ Lila drawled, "Maybe I don‘t ... ", her voice trailed off as she never got a chance to
finish her sentence. Carol had covered her protests with her own hungry mouth and her
searching tongue as it probed to find the essence of Lila.

Lila was so taken aback by this sudden movement on Carol‘s part, she didn‘t respond
right away, and Carol seized on her hesitancy to wrap her arms around the other girl with
such force, Lila felt as though she was being inundated by a powerful vise.

Every fiber of her being leapt in response to the desire Carol was instilling in her
consciousness. Her responses became automatic and she thought to herself that
moving away from her parents home and into the Village was the best possible move for
her to have made.

Her arms also went around Carol so that their breasts were jutting and mashing into
each other as though they were hugging mirrors. Lila could feel the insistence of Carol‘s
need and it caused her cunt to grow moist and yearning for the soothing licks of Carol‘s
tongue. In her desire to escape from the confinement her jeans provided, her hand went
down to undo her zipper, but Carol‘s hand was already there, tugging away at her jeans, and
sobbing incoherently in her desire for the other girl‘s raw flesh.

Between the two of them, they were able to remove Lila‘s jeans and Carol wasted no time
at all in stripping quickly out of her own clothes so that they lay in an unsightly heap on the
living room carpet.

Now Carol was on her knees in front of Lila‘s bush. She pushed the younger girl‘s legs as
far apart as she could, separating the hairy lips of her cunt in order to gain more easy
access to the juicy twat that presented itself to her face.

With no thought to anything other than licking away at Lila‘s box, Carol buried her head
between the other girl‘s thighs and sucked at her clit and licked at her labia as though it was
the most important thing in the world.

"Oh!“ Lila gasped, seizing Carol by her blonde hair with both hands and using both
hands to control as much as possible the voracious tonguing her cunt was receiving.

Her head went completely back on the couch and her eyes squeezed shut with pleasure.
She could feel the frantic sucking and swallowing sounds Carol was making and as far as
Lila was concerned, going to the grocery store in New York was far superior to shopping
in the supermarket upstate.

"That‘s it!“ she told Carol in inarticulate gasps. "Right there!“ and she frantically pulled
and tugged at Carol‘s head to emphasize her point.

Carol nuzzled and licked and sucked away, not quite knowing why she was driven to taste
Lila in this fashion, but digging it beyond her wildest expectations. She loved the way
Lila moaned and moved her body, squeezing her thighs around Carol‘s ears, holding her
tighter and asking her to go even deeper into her cunt.

And when Lila raised her hips so high that her rosebud-like asshole was presented to
Carol‘s mouth, Carol never even missed a lick as she ate out Lila‘s asshole as though it was a
bonus.

Lila knew she wouldn‘t be able to sustain this kind of attention to her cunt much longer
without coming and though she fought against coming to the apex of her climax, she was
fighting against nature herself.

We can always do this again, she promised herself wildly. Just because I come right
now doesn‘t mean I‘ll never come again.

"Oh God!“ she cried. "Make me come!“ Carol increased her frantic lickings even more.
She knew in her heart that there would be times between the two of them when Lila would
return the favor, but for right now she was content to be the giver of pleasure.

"Oh, yes!“ Lila was crying. "OH YES!“

Then her hips started shuddering and bucking around like a crazed rag doll and Carol
took a deep satisfaction knowing that she was giving such obvious pleasure to this
delicious cunt.

"I LOVE IT!“ Lila screamed, heaving now so madly that Carol had all she could do to hang
on. In fact, if Lila hadn‘t grasped at the roots of her hair so firmly, Carol feared she could never
match the furious pace Lila was demanding of her.

Then Lila stopped her yelling and began to drop into the kind of lassitude associated
with sexual contentment. Carol stayed on her knees for a bit, her head buried contentedly
between her new friend‘s thighs, but in a bit she was back on her feet, staring down at the
crumpled being she had been afraid to approach that morning in the corner grocery store.

Lila, in her satiation, looked more beautiful than in her desire. A few beads of sweat
had popped out on her forehead, giving her face a glowing look, her clear skin was flushed
with excitement making her make-upless face as rosy as the finest cosmetic. Her
perfectly shaped eyebrows arched around her now closed eyes and her dark hair framed her
face like a painting.

Carol felt a yearning in her chest growing larger. She didn‘t want Lila to leave her
apartment and go off to meet "friends“. She wanted to possess her wholly and completely,
not sharing her at all with anyone else, but holding her all to herself. Carol had to fight
against this feeling, as it had been her downfall in every other relationship that she had
ever had. Her insatiable desire to possess, to KNOW everything about her lovers was
frightening to many and was accountable for the fact that Carol often slept alone.

Now, as she quietly walked into her bathroom to freshen herself up, she reminded the
voice inside her that was crying with elation over her new prey that she had better cool it.
When she returned to the living room, she discovered a red-faced Lila gathering her
things out of the refrigerator, fully-dressed and about to depart.

She told Carol where she lived and added that maybe she would see her later on at the
Cat that night, if she was going there.

Carol wanted to say that she hated gay bars and only went to them when she was
depressed but she didn‘t. She also didn‘t add that the last thing in the world that she wanted
to do was watch Lila dancing all over the place with everyone else.

"Maybe I will stop in later,“ Carol said, forcing herself to smile, though in her heart she
yearned to grab Lila and tie her up to her bed with a rope!

Then she was gone and Carol was left alone once again. She didn‘t mind so much this time
as her flesh was still warm with the impressions Lila had left on it, and her mouth still bore
faint traces of her scent and taste.

With Lila gone, but with the possibility that she might see her again that very evening,
Carol was able to get through the rest of her day. Even going so far as to return to the
corner grocer‘s to replace those items she had forced on the woman in front of her.

But as Carol was letting herself back into her apartment, she heard her phone ringing.
Hurrying to it, in the hopes that it was Lila, she breathlessly asked:

"Hello?“

"Hello, Carol,“ the rich, modulated voice of her mother said.

Carol‘s heart sank. "Oh, hi, Mom,“ she replied listlessly.

"We haven‘t seen you in quite a while,“ her mother went on. "I‘d like you to have dinner
this evening with us.“

Carol quickly calculated how long it would take to suffer through one of her mother‘s
dinners and said:

"What time?“

"Come up at seven,“ her mother said. "Do you want us to send a ‚car for you, or are you
still at that stage when you insist on showing your independence by riding the
subway?“

"Maybe I‘ll take a cab,“ Carol said shortly. She hated it whenever her mother mocked her
attempts to be free of their hold on her.

"Now that makes a great deal of sense,“ her mother replied, the pleasure in her voice
thick and heavy. "Dress a little, will you? I‘m having an old school chum join us and I don‘t
want you disgracing me.“

"Okay,“ Carol said, thinking to herself how if her mother knew anything of her true
lifestyle she would be so disgraced she would never bother Carol again!

Hanging up the phone, Carol went into her bedroom closet and selected a long dress
she had bought in a thrift shop for three dollars. It gave her an inordinate amount of
satisfaction to think that she would be wearing this bargain into her mother‘s apartment.
She also wondered if her father would be there. He hardly ever was, and as her mother hadn‘t
mentioned the presence of Phil, Carol doubted he would.

She decided to lie down and take a short nap. As she settled back on her bed, her
thoughts went back to the man who was her father. The man she had always called Phil.

Growing up in the great apartment that Phil paid for yet rarely saw had been fun in some
ways for Carol. Especially when he did make his rare visits. He was a very handsome man,
continuously tanned and always smelling of some good aftershave lotion. It had been
Carol‘s opinion that her mother must have done something wrong to keep her father away
so much. Later, when she was old enough to understand "these things“, her mother
explained that they were separated and that she would never give him a divorce.

Every time Carol wanted to know why, her mother would sniff off some kind of excuse
and Carol would be left alone with her fantasies of her father.

When she was fourteen years old, her father had taken her to Europe. She was thrilled
with the prospect of traveling with her father without the presence of her mother, but they
hadn‘t spent too many days at sea before Carol realized her father drank too much.

One night he had come into her cabin while she was sleeping and sat down next to her
on her bed.

Carol hadn‘t done anything about this, she only wondered why he hadn‘t knocked first.

"So pretty,“ her father was saying thickly. "So pretty my Caroline!“ Her father was the
only person that called her Caroline and she liked it. She reached out to take his hand, but
he had seized it more fervently than Carol had expected.

"You are becoming a young woman,“ he had said. "You ARE a young woman!“ He
seemed amazed by this as though it had happened against his better wishes. Carol
murmured something inane and the next thing she knew her father was lying in bed next
to her. She could smell his foul breath, heavy with the fumes of alcohol, but she said
nothing as he was her father and it wasn‘t polite to criticize grownups.

But then he began caressing her, running his heavy, manicured hand up and down her
thin nightie and making breathing sounds that sounded harsh and rasping to Carol.

"Are you all right?“ she had asked, sincerely believing her father to be ill and in need of
her help.

"I‘m okay,“ he had said, his thick tongue moving with difficulty in his mouth. The next
thing Carol knew was that his mouth was on hers.

She fought against the oppressive heaviness of his weight as he carelessly pressed
down on her slender frame. She tried to push him away but it was like pushing a horse off
her body after they had fallen.

Panic swept through her body, and fear. This was not the father she knew and loved and
though he may have been drunk at the moment, Carol was aware enough to know that this
was more than fatherly concern on his part.

She could not speak. His mouth had encircled hers, forcing his fat tongue between her
gritted teeth and his hands held her fast against the rough tweed of his jacket:

Carol began to cry, but silently. Her hot tears seared down his cheeks but he showed no
mind at all. With each new struggle on her part, no matter how vain, he overcame it with his
perverted desire and his drunken need of her.

His hand was between her legs now, forcing her young thighs apart and probing at her
pubis, murmuring all the while about how "tight“ she was.

Oh course she was tight! She was a virgin for crying out loud, but not for long. He had
his fly upzipped and his cock out so fast that had someone had a clock on him he would
have won an award for the fastest cock on board, despite his drunken state of being.

Carol could feel something thick and hose-like probing at the entrance to her tiny hole
and struggle as she did, it only resulted in more pain.

Meanwhile her father was murmuring in her ear how superior she was to that bitch,
Mildred, his wife and how he couldn‘t believe that someone as lovely as Carol could have
sprung from her loins.

As for Carol, she finally ceased her struggling and with a sharp pain felt her father enter
all the way up her cunt.

Then he began rutting back and forth, pushing (it seemed to Carol) harder and harder.
She wondered why he wanted to hurt her in this fashion, what had she done? It was all so
confusing to her she froze in one spot. Her father then began castigating her, telling her
to move her hips and not to be such a silent whore.

To Carol, fresh from the onslaught of puberty and a broken home, what was
happening to her was just one more bad thing in the nightmare that had become her life.
She refused to cooperate with her father and when she finally sank off to sleep with his
heavy body still lying in a sodden heap upon her body, her dreams were fit full and strange.

The next morning when she woke, he was gone and for a few seconds Carol wondered if
she had imagined the whole thing. But bringing her hand between her legs confirmed that
it had all happened, indeed. She stared at the sticky, now colorless goo that was the
residual of his nocturnal visit and her rage knew no expressions.

That morning at breakfast, her father appeared contrite and full of remorse. He tried
to coax her into smiling, but it was all she could do to look at him. She sulked in her cabin for
the rest of the voyage and the minute they landed at Le Havre ran off by herself.

It was a good month before her father found her and by then Carol had had thirty days of
pleasure in the arms of Adrian, an American woman who had found her walking the
streets.

Every time Carol thought of Adrian it was with a fondness she had found difficult to
duplicate. But of course it had to end.

Her father seemed to size up their relationship at a glance, but Carol had met his eyes
defiantly, as though daring him to press charges against this older woman that had taken
care of her.

Having, however, the law on his side, it was no problem whatsoever to take Carol back
to the States with him. And that was the end of Adrian. But it was only the beginning of the
hold she had over her father and the terrible secret they shared.

CHAPTER TWO

Carol tipped the cab driver and nodded to the doorman who still remembered her.
Then she entered the elevator that went to her mother‘s place.

As much as Carol hated these visits, she wasn‘t about to forfeit the money her mother
gave her. Not right now, at least. Later, when her career as an art director took off she might
be able to tell them all to fuck off, but right now she had to eat shit.

Letting herself into the apartment with the key she had retained, Carol was struck by
the difference in the way she now lived as opposed to what was still available to her. She
loved their living room. It was large and the colors of beige and muted yellow were always
soothing to her.

Right now the room was full of smoke and the sounds of people laughing, their glasses
with the ice cubes clanking musically. Carol shielded her eyes for a shot at her mother, but
she didn‘t see her.

Some small dinner, she thought to herself. It looked like a fucking cocktail party to her
and she resented her mother‘s evasiveness in describing what was awaiting her.

Sam, their butler on occasion, was passing a silver tray of glasses around and Carol
noted with a disgusted smirk how her mother always served champagne, just to make
things easier. However, she took a glass off the tray, smiling at Sam who almost dropped
the tray in surprise and went over to stand in a corner.

This was Carol‘s favorite thing to do. This way she could see what was going on in the
room and not participate unless she wanted to, which was rarely.

Most of her mother‘s friends came from the art, theater and literary worlds, and to Carol
they seemed to comprise the hanger-on class rather than the actual artists. She snorted to
herself thinking how a true artist had better things to do with his or her time than hang out
at Elizabeth Palm‘s, getting stoned on champagne and bullshitting.

Several glasses of champagne later and Carol wasn‘t feeling so hostile. In fact, between
the glow of the bubbly and her remembrances of Lila, she was feeling pretty damn good!

"There you are!“ her mother exclaimed, advancing towards her in a cloud of perfume
and cigarette smoke. "Why ever didn‘t you let me know that you were here? I‘ve been
worried sick about you!“ ‚

And she gave Carol a big hug, being careful however not to smear her bright red
lipstick. Carol recoiled slightly from her mother‘s touch. They had never been close, in fact,
Carol held her mother somewhat responsible for what had happened between her and Phil.
As she grew older Carol used to think that if Phil had been getting enough from his wife, he
wouldn‘t have turned towards his daughter for sexual satisfaction.

"And here‘s Ellen!“ her mother continued to burble.

Carol stood back to survey her mother‘s friend. She was a handsome woman, in her
thirties and as Carol‘s mother was closer to fifty, Carol wondered how her mother could have
claimed her as a school chum. But then, her mother was always taking classes at the New
School. Ellen was probably someone who had caught her fancy.

"How are you?“ Ellen asked in a deep voice. The voice seemed to reek with sensuality
and Carol was taken aback at the sexual tone that replied through it. "I never would have
believed that Elizabeth had such a daughter!“

"Why?“ Carol blurted without thinking.

Ellen was taken aback by the abruptness of Carol‘s remark, but she laughed and
carried on. "I guess because your mother is young in so many ways herself!“ Ellen said.

Yeah, Carol wanted to say. She‘s still a fucking spoiled kid. But aloud she said, "Oh.“

"Come and sit with me,“ Ellen invited. "I‘ve heard so much about you, I‘ve been dying to
meet you!“ And she led the way towards another sitting room, off the main living room
and much quieter. Shrugging her shoulders, Carol followed. There was no doubt in her mind
that Ellen was a lesbian and this put the idea in her head that maybe her mother was too!
Wouldn‘t that have been a gas, Carol thought to herself. Her thoughts were becoming
more and more reckless as the glasses of champagne kept coming towards her mouth and
the memory of Lila stayed on the top of her mind.

In some ways, Ellen reminded Carol of Adrian and that was a pleasant thought, but
Carol wasn‘t concerned right now with any new contacts. Ellen, however, was much more
insistent.

"I understand that you‘re a junior art director at McMillian,“ Ellen said, naming the
advertising agency that Carol worked for. Carol nodded.

"I was an art director myself,“ Ellen said, "though that was many years ago.“

"Mmmm,“ Carol said, not furthering the conversation in the slightest.

Ellen glanced sideways at Carol and took another sip from her glass. She wondered
about Carol‘s coldness, but found it oddly exciting. Her beauty automatically assured
her interest.

Carol wished she had a joint with her, but she had forgotten to bring one up with her.

"Do you ever get stoned?“ she asked Ellen suddenly.

Ellen looked as though she wasn‘t quite sure what Carol was talking about.

"You mean drunk?“ she asked cautiously.

Carol laughed. "No, you know,“ she added, being more discreet than was necessary.
After all, chances of Ellen being a NARC were pretty remote.

Ellen put her hand on Carol‘s thigh and leaned closer. "If you mean do I have any grass,
the answer is yes!“

This totally delighted Carol. "You‘re kidding!“ she exclaimed. "Well let‘s go on the
terrace and smoke it!“

The two of them left the room, noticed only by Elizabeth Palm whose face darkened
almost imperceptibly. Then she turned brightly back to her other guests.

Out on the terrace, Ellen and Carol were passing the joint between the two of them,
enjoying the kind of immediate intimacy a shared joint can impart between two
strangers.

Carol studied Ellen differently now that she was stoned. She was even beginning to
feel attracted to her.

Ellen began talking about herself. Telling Carol how she lived in the Village, was an
artist and had a summer place in Vermont.

"Why aren‘t you there now?!“ Carol asked. It wasn‘t that she really cared. She was just
trying to make conversation.

"I‘m having a showing right now,“ Ellen explained modestly. "That‘s why I‘m in the
city.“ Carol thought how nice it must be to have a place away and told Ellen this. "You‘re
welcomed to come up there any time you please,“ Ellen said. "In fact, I understand that
you live in the Village. Maybe we can share a cab back there later.“

"Maybe we can,“ Carol said. She wanted suddenly to get away from Ellen. She didn‘t
want anything to interfere with her plans of seeing Lila later.

Lila! Just thinking about her cheered Carol immeasurably.

"Excuse me,“ she said to Ellen. "I want to look at my old room.“ The minute Elizabeth
observed Carol splitting off in the other direction she was beside the sitting Ellen like a
hawk.

"What did she say?“ Elizabeth hissed.

Ellen, seeming to come out of a doped shock, turned to Elizabeth and smile. "Oh,“ she
said. "I‘m sure your daughter is gay.“

A look of triumph crossed Elizabeth‘s strong features. "I thought so!“ she crowed. "Well,
if I can get her put away, that will help a lot!“

Ellen looked at Elizabeth. "Hey!“ she said. "I‘m gay too! So before you go acting like
everyone who is queer, is queer, just remember who your friends are!“

Elizabeth gave a short laugh and embraced her friend quickly. "Oh, I, don‘t mean YOU!“
she protested. "You know what I mean! After all, it IS an aberration and if I can find a
friendly shrink I think I can arrange for a nervous breakdown type of tying!“

Ellen wasn‘t so quick to join in with her friend‘s elation. "I think you‘re being awfully
hard on the girl,“ she said. "She seems all right to me!“

"Aha!“ Elizabeth spat. "That‘s because you don‘t know her! If you had any idea of the
grief that brat has caused me you would sign the petition right along with me!“

"I don‘t know,“ Ellen hedged, "it doesn‘t pay to be too greedy, you know.“

"I don‘t want to talk about it right now,“ Elizabeth said, taking Ellen by the arm and
steering her towards the dining room. "We‘ll talk about it tomorrow. I want you to call me
and I want a full report on what happens tonight. Don‘t forget!“ Then Elizabeth‘s entire
demeanor changed. She faced her assembled guests with all the grace and charm of a
television hostess. Calling them to dinner, many of the guests put down their drinks with
reluctance.

As for Carol, she was moping about her bedroom, relieving a lot of her lonely
memories and anxious to get away from her mother‘s home.

Hearing the sound of silverware from the other room, she rejoined the guests, noting
that her mother had made no special effort to call her to dinner!

Probably doesn‘t give a shit if I starve to death, Carol thought, bitterly stabbing a pea
with her silver and popping it into her mouth.

Elizabeth observed her only daughter carefully. She knew it was unmotherlike, but
she couldn‘t stand her. She had never wanted to have her and the fact of her pregnancy
caused her to go on such a drunken binge it was amazing that Carol hadn‘t been born with a
Martini in her hand.

As for Phil, the fact that he had knocked her up had been enough to cause her hatred for
him forever. He was always trying to prove his masculinity to the point Liz thought he was
a closet fag. "The trouble with you,“ she used to shout at him, "is that you‘ve read too much
Hemmingway!“

This was the worst possible thing Elizabeth could have said to Phil, and his hatred
towards her was as keen as hers for him.

As far as Phil was concerned, Elizabeth was one step away from being a basket case.
The only reason he had married her in the first place was because of a drunken bet he had
made in college.

"Hey!“ his friend had said. "If the two of you got each other‘s money, imagine what a life
you could have? No work, just living and grooving on everyone else!“

The challenge had been too intriguing to Phil who was lazy by nature and a dreamer. He
had managed to get Elizabeth drunk and married all in one evening, though it took a bit
more effort to fuck her.

Drunk as she was, she had fought him off as though he was about to kill her instead of
fuck her.

"You‘re not going to stick that thing in me!“ she had screeched.

Phil had done everything in his power, short of throttling her, but she had won in the end.
Eventually, as a kind of experiment, she had agreed to fuck him. Phil had saved up so
much virile sperm, he had impregnated her on the spot and that was the beginning of the
end.

She complained all through her pregnancy. Went to bed at night pounding her fists on
her stomach and bemoaning the loss of her figure. She rode horses, skied, did everything
imaginable in an attempt to abort Carol, but nothing had worked. In fact,, she was such a
specimen of health, the only thing that prevented her from pursuing any of these sports
was her large stomach.

As it turned out, Elizabeth‘s fortune was lost in the recession of ‚74 and Phil found
himself truly wearing the pants.

He had seen to it that Carol was well taken care of, but as far as Elizabeth was concerned,
he maintained her basic living expenses, period.

Now that Elizabeth felt she had something on Carol, she wasn‘t going to put up with
her any longer. She would fight in court for her share, giving them a big line of bullshit and
hoping that she got a judge she could take care of.

She had met Ellen at an opening and though Elizabeth was asexual and found
everyone unappealing, she thought Ellen might help her

I entrap her daughter in a web of madness. Now, gazing surreptitiously at her
daughter as she picked away at her food, Elizabeth smiled to herself, thinking how she
would get rid of this apartment and live in Mexico.

After dinner, Carol begged off from having any after dinner drinks or conversation
and attempted to split from her mother‘s stifling scene.

But Ellen was on her elbow like a leech, even going so far as to take her arm, leading
her towards the elevator.

"No sense in us both riding down in different cabs,“ she said, and despite herself,
Carol couldn‘t help but like this dark, Spanish-looking woman.

As they rode down in the cab together, Carol listened to Ellen‘s voice as she yapped
away about her mother and the fun they had had together.

She felt very badly about her role in • Elizabeth‘s scheme, but she stood to profit by its
success also.

"Why don‘t you come up to my place for a drink?“ she invited once they were down on
Fifth Avenue and Tenth.

"I can‘t,“ Carol said.

"Are you meeting someone?“ Ellen asked.

Carol flushed. "As a matter-of-fact, I am,“ she admitted, happy for a chance to talk
about her favorite subject.

Ellen took a deep breath. "Boy or girl?“ she wanted to know.

This was an off the wall question if Carol ever heard one and she didn‘t like it. "What
difference does it make?“ she demanded.

The cab stopped then and Ellen had a chance to gather her thoughts. She couldn‘t let
Carol get away. Even if it meant following her to wherever she was going. It just would be
easier if they could go together.

Carol wanted to yell out that she was going to a gay bar and she wanted to hurry, but she
stood patiently by as Ellen fumbled for an excuse to keep her with her,

"Come on,“ she begged. "Come upstairs for one drink. Then you can be off to meet your
friends.“

Carol hated the way her mother‘s friends always took this patronizing tone of voice
with her. But she went along with it, for now.

Ellen‘s apartment was as nice as Carol knew it would be. She had a large work space for
her sculptures and it was all done in good taste.

Ellen went to get the brandy and Carol kept looking at her watch. She had to see Lila
that night. She just HAD too!

Ellen took a sip of her brandy, then placed her decanter down to turn on music. The
room flooded with such soothing sounds that Carol almost forgot her eagerness to visit
with Lila.

Then Ellen started to sing. Carol just couldn‘t believe it! Ellen was standing in the
center of • the room, her feet spread apart on the Oriental rug in the classic position of
voice students and she was singing with such power Carol was almost blown out of the
room.

What the hell! Carol thought. She had never in her life seen anyone do this and she
thought to herself once again how all her mother‘s friends were nuts.

One of the most disconcerting things about the way Ellen was singing was the way her
piercing dark eyes kept boring into Carol‘s. Carol kept trying to avoid her gaze, but she
found it increasingly difficult.

She wanted to yell Stop Looking at Me!, but the words stuck in her throat. Besides, it
would be rude. If there was any major hang-up that Carol had, it was being rude and she
was the rudest person inside that she knew of!

"Yes!“ Ellen was bellowing. "IT‘S BECAUSE of YOU!“ Carol never felt so relieved in her
life when the song ended. But then Ellen was launching right into the next one. Carol got up
to go to the bathroom, flushing the toilet loudly and running the water for a long time in
an attempt to blot out the sounds emanating from the other room. Finally, it was
impossible to stay in the bathroom any longer and Carol rejoined Ellen in the living room.
She found her drinking her brandy.

Normally, Carol would have lied and said what a nice voice Ellen had, but she was so
pissed at her for singing that way, the words died in her throat. She too took another sip of
brandy.

Its warmth flowed through her, reminding her of the way she had felt that afternoon
when she had been with Lila.

She wondered what Lila was doing right now. She hoped that she hadn‘t already left the
Cat with someone new, leaving Carol to wonder when she would see her again.

Then Carol realized she didn‘t even know her last name or how to get in touch with her.
Hopefully the gay crowd moving in the Village would be small enough so that she would
run into her again, just in case she missed her tonight.

"I have to go,“ she said to Ellen. "I didn‘t know you sang.“

"You mean they‘re related!“ Ellen boomed out jovially. "I never pretended to be a
professional!“

"Well, don‘t worry about it,“ Carol said.

"I‘m not sure what you mean by that,“ Ellen said carefully. "But I don‘t mind telling you
that I‘d love to have you spend the night with me.“

"You mean sleep with you!“ Carol yelled. She began backing towards the door.

"Am I so repulsive?“ Ellen asked, her voice becoming insinuating, and to Carol, evil.

"No,“ she protested. "You are a very attractive woman. It‘s just that I‘m seeing
someone else.“

"I know,“ Ellen said.

"What do you mean?“ Carol asked carefully.

"I know you‘re a lesbian,“ Ellen said. "So you don‘t have to pretend you‘re not to me. I
am one too!“

"What do you want, some kind of award?“ Carol asked. She was totally confused by this
entire exchange, but she felt she was being threatened, nonetheless.

Ellen moved quickly towards Carol at that point, barring her escape with an arm that
closed about her own like a steel trap.

"Hey!“ Carol said. "What are you doing!“ Ellen‘s tone became conciliatory then. She
hadn‘t planned on things happening like this at all! She wanted to be friends with Carol. She
wanted Carol to like her. And she also wanted to make Elizabeth happy. Ellen‘s outside
appearance of wealth was not a stable impression. Only last week she had had a meeting
with her lawyer and accountant that was very serious.

Elizabeth had promised to help her out financially, if she would help her out with Carol.
And if there was anything Ellen didn‘t want threatened, it was her freedom to sculpt. Her
freedom to work. And now, this fucking shit Carol was screwing everything up!

"Can I come with you?“ Ellen asked. Her voice was pleading now and begging.

"I‘m not sure you‘d want to go where I‘m going,“ Carol said hesitantly. "It‘s a gay bar. I
mean, even though you‘re gay, all the women are much younger than you!“

Ellen laughed. "My tongue is not aged,“ she said. "My technique is better than ever!“
And she unlocked the door to the apartment. Carol walked along the sidewalk with Ellen
wondering how the hell she was going to escape from her. She was the most persistent
thing she had ever met in her life, and even though it annoyed her at the moment, she had
to admire Ellen‘s tenacity.

The Purple Cat was not exactly a bar you‘d see if you didn‘t know where it was. In fact, as
often as Carol had been there, she was never sure she would find it until she found herself
sitting inside.

It was about nine-thirty when they got there, so it wasn‘t any problem finding a table.
Carol was as annoyed as hell that not only couldn‘t she see Lila, but that everyone might
think she was dating Ellen!

Ellen took right over once they were seated, ordering the sullen waitress around and
giving the impression that she was a rich dyke from the old school.

Carol slouched in her chair, obviously trying to pretend that she wasn‘t even with
Ellen. Ellen noticed this with amusement, but she wasn‘t entirely put off by it. She felt like
telling Carol if she didn‘t shape up, Ellen would fry her ass. For it had occurred to Ellen that
if she could make friends with Carol, she wouldn‘t need Elizabeth‘s money

Meanwhile, Chris who had been Ellen‘s lover not that long ago was observing the way
Ellen was carrying on in front of this young girl. Chris wasn‘t sure who Carol was, but she
had seen her before in the Cat and had found her very attractive. However, at that time,
Chris was still moping over Ellen and found it hard to see anyone as attractive. She puffed
away on her cigarette, her grey eyes narrowing slightly from the smoke and her
concentration.

She had lived with Ellen for two years, working while Ellen stayed home and sculpted.
But all Ellen did was complain about her dwindling estate until Chris couldn‘t take it any
longer. But she had been afraid to leave Ellen. Ellen was unlike anyone Chris had ever
known.

As for Chris, a simple girl from Emerson, New Jersey, with longings she couldn‘t
understand, a haven of compassion had been provided for her in the Village and the
people she had met there.

She had grown in her appreciation of herself and no longer moved with the slouch
many tall girls who feel awkward about their height affect.

Then, one day as she was returning from her job as a waitress, she had found Ellen in
bed with another girl. Chris had recognized the girl as one of Ellen‘s models, but this
didn‘t change the rage and fury that engulfed her being. She had thrown the skinny model
out in no time at all, but dealing with Ellen had been more difficult.

To begin with, Ellen, (who was always bragging about her Spanish heritage), had a
whip she was never far from. As Chris had advanced towards her nude body, Ellen had
slashed out with the whip, warning Chris to stay back.

But Chris had continued to advance, intent on seizing Ellen by the throat and
Wringing the last breath out of it. Consequently, Chris had the shit beaten out of her and
Ellen was left without a mark.

That had been the end of their relationship and eventually Chris had found someone
else. But her anger and hatred towards Ellen hadn‘t abated one bit. She approached their
table now and asked Carol to dance.

Carol fairly flew into the arms of this blond angel that had appeared out of nowhere and
before Ellen could protest, the two of them were moving around the dance floor, far from
Ellen.

"Thanks!“ Carol said, tilting her head back in order to look into Chris‘s eyes.

"I hate that cunt,“ Chris said. "Besides, you‘re cute!“ Carol laughed self-consciously. Big
girls like Chris always made her feel like a little girl again.

"Why do you hate her?“ Carol asked with interest. "Do you know her?“ She hoped that
Chris did. The more information that she had on Ellen, the better as far as she was
concerned.

"Very well,“ Chris said grimly. "We used to be lovers.“

"No shit!“ Carol exclaimed. She pulled back slightly from Chris. Chris noticed this right
away and merely pulled Carol right back where she was.

"Do you come here often?“ Carol asked. "I‘m not sure, but I think I‘ve seen you here
before.“

"I‘ve been coming here lately,“ Chris said. "My new chick digs it.“

"Oh,“ Carol said, feeling oddly disappointed. "So you‘re seeing someone right now?“

"Yes,“ Chris answered dreamily. "I don‘t mean to hurt your feelings, but I asked you to
dance just to get you away from Ellen.“

"It‘s all right,“ Carol said. "I like someone else too. And I wanted to get away from Ellen“

"How did you happen to end up with her?“ Chris asked curiously.

Carol told Chris about the earlier part of the evening and Chris nodded. "Yeah,“ she said.
"You don‘t have to tell me how pushy that broad is! She almost ruined by life!“ And as the
music continued to sway in the background, Chris lost herself in the memories that
flooded her brain.

Carol was content for her silence. Chris was providing her with an escape from Ellen
and the opportunity to move around the dance floor which gave her a greater chance of
spotting Lila.

Where the fuck was she? Carol wondered with annoyance. She moved closer to Chris.
Chris was really nice. Maybe she would go home with Chris if her chick didn‘t show either.

She glanced through the smoke and saw Ellen talking with someone. Ellen seemed to
be well-known in the bar, and many of the women were greeting her with warmth. Carol
sighed as pressed against Chris. Chris had big tits, she thought to herself.

CHAPTER THREE

The girl in bed with Lila was as ebony black as Lila was alabaster white. Lila was staring at
the contrast their linked arms were providing as though it fascinated her.

"What cha‘ looking at, honey?“ the black girl Diane, asked.

"You‘re so black and I‘m so white!“ Lila said, moving closer to Diane. She threw her leg
over the other girl‘s jutting ass, liking the way the plumpness of Diane‘s rounded butt fit
neatly between her thighs.

"Ummm,“ Lila said, snuggling closer to Diane‘s neck, "that feels good!“ Diane turned
around then so that they were lying breasts to breasts, cunt to cunt. They began rocking
back and forth then, searching out each other‘s mouths for extra closeness.

Lila felt Diane‘s tongue moving around in her own mouth and a thrill raced from the
back of her head down to her cunt. Her movements against the other girl became more
frantic.

Diane was caressing her back now with one hand, while bringing the other hand around
to squeeze her nearest tits.

"Nice tits,“ she told Lila. "Real nice, honey!“ Lila liked the way Diane spoke. She had never
been that close to a black girl before and she was glad for the opportunity she had right
now to experience the difference.

Actually, she hadn‘t found that much difference! There was a musky odor about Diane
that excited Lila and her cunt lips were purple colored, but the differences were slight.

"You want me to eat your white pussy?“ Diane was murmuring in Lila‘s ear. It wasn‘t a
question really, but Diane liked talking like that when she was in bed with a chick and Lila
liked hearing it.

"Yes,“ Lila answered. "I would love you to eat my white pussy!“ And she buried her mouth
on one of Diane‘s tits for emphasis.

Diane brought her hand away from Lila‘s tit now and pulled Lila‘s head closer to her
breast. She had nice full tits and very sensitive nipples. Getting them sucked gave her
almost as much enjoyment as getting her pussy royally eaten out.

"The other one,“ she urged, jerking the nipple out of Lila‘s groping mouth and dragging
her head to the other tit. Lila‘s head moved easily from one tit to the other. She felt like a
small child again suckling away on her mother‘s tits, and though her memory gave her no
accurate picture of this, she had heard her mother brag about breast-feeding her enough
to know it was true.

"God! You could never get enough!“ her mother loved to say. "You sucked on my tits so
much, you almost pulled them off!“

Lila‘s mother never talked that way when her father was around, but whenever they were
discussing "women‘s things“, her mother yapped away about it.

Lila moved her head down on Diane‘s body, heading towards her stomach. She left a
trail of spittle on the black girl‘s body, but Diane found this cooling compared to the
intense temperature of her skin.

She wanted Lila‘s cunt in her mouth too, but she had decided to let this little white chickie
take a few licks on her clit before swinging around to her favorite 69 position.

Lila was down there now, her head between Diane‘s legs, her nose brushing against the
cunt hairs that seemed kinky to Lila.

Diane sighed and reached down with both her hands to fondle Lila‘s head.

"Oh, baby!“ Diane said in that soft accent of hers, "you sure do eat cunt good!“ Lila
responded to this praise by increasing the pressure of her tongue on Diane‘s clit. She
noticed that Diane‘s clit was larger than most girls. She could suck and mouth it, almost
like a baby cock! Just as she was getting carried away however, Diane swung her body
around neatly so that she could chomp onto Lila‘s lick-box at the same time. Now both their
tongues were digging into each other‘s orifices, and running lightly up and down the
entire length of each other‘s slit.

Lila felt as though she was suffocating in Diane‘s cunt. Every fiber of her being seemed
to be assailed by cunt, juices and hairs and she didn‘t mind at all. If anything, she tried to get
even more involved though that was highly improbable.

As for Diane, she was glad she didn‘t have any racial hangups like a lot of her friends.
Diane didn‘t care what color a person was. As long as they turned her on, they turned her on
and she was happy to discover so many people turned her on.

Especially Lila. She had danced with her only last night and had made sure that she had
gotten her address and phone number. Lila had protested that she was living with
someone who was working at the moment and that she couldn‘t get involved, but Diane
had overrode that as a poor excuse.

Now, locked in each other‘s cunts and arms, Diane was congratulating herself on her
perceptions of Lila‘s true situation. Not that Lila was lying when she said she was living
with someone. That much was true. Diane even knew who Lila was living with. But it was
obvious to her that Lila was a horny chick and if one pushed their point hard enough, one
would find themselves in bed with her.

If there was anything in the world Diane enjoyed, it was feeling a tongue giving her
head. Ever since she could remember she and her sisters had sucked each other off and
Diane had remembered those times as being the happiest in her childhood. Now that
she was a young adult she wasn‘t about to switch to something different. If anything, her
enjoyment of getting eaten out had increased.

Her body was writhing now, her native rhythm matching that of Lila‘s tongue so that
they were doing a kind of dance together. Diane longed to cry out her joy over the
pleasure she was receiving, but she was too busy licking away at Lila‘s clit to comment.

She squeezed Lila‘s body closer to her, feeling the way Lila‘s tits were mashed into her
thighs and liking that feeling very much.

Now Lila was doing something to Diane that she couldn‘t resist. She could feel her
tongue licking away at the crack of her ass and knew it would only be a short time before
she felt its warm wetness caressing the opening to her ass.

Now! Diane began to shudder up and down the full length of her fine frame. She was
going to come and she didn‘t want too. Not yet! Oh no! She said silently to herself. Make it
last a little bit longer! But then the convulsions that threatened earlier to overtake her,
triumphed and Diane was reduced to a quivering mass of flesh that had been excited
beyond all endurance.

As for Lila, the minute she felt the convulsing pulsations of Diane‘s body, her own
climax was induced. Now that Diane had come, Lila felt no obligation to keep her mouth
glued to Diane‘s cunt and cried out:

"Holy Shit! I‘m coming! Yes! Wow! Right there!“ The two of them continued to lie
upside down in each other‘s arms for awhile, each filled with‘ the enormity of what they had
done. Lila more so than Diane, as Lila was going with someone and Diane was just passing
some very pleasant time.

"You going to the Cat?“ Diane asked lazily. She had straightened herself up in the bed
and was now lying with her head on the pillow, cradling the contented Lila in her arms.

Lila nodded. "Yeah,“ she said. "Are you?“

"I wasn‘t,“ Diane admitted. "But why the fuck not!“

She sprang out of bed with all the grace of a lioness and raced towards the bathroom.
In fifteen minutes both of them were ready to split for the Cat.

"Honey,“ Diane told her as they strolled towards the Cat, "you sure are sweet in bed, but
if you were my gal, I wouldn‘t trust you as far as I could throw you!“

Lila smiled. She felt a little guilty over what she had shared with Diane, but not all that
much. She was young. She wanted to sleep with a lot of people. She didn‘t want to blow her
youth on some outdated principle called faithfulness.

"You know that gal you‘re living with can get damned hot, if she loses her temper,“
Diane continued. She looked at Lila and Lila shrugged. She wouldn‘t even bother
mentioning the fact that only that morning she had slept with Carol. And as far as she was
concerned she might end the night with someone other than her lover.

As they entered the Cat, the first thing Lila saw was Chris. She glanced at Diane to see if
Diane had noticed her also, but if Diane had, she gave no indication.

"Catch you later, honey,“ Diane sang out, heading towards the bar and leaving Lila
standing on the edge of the dance floor staring at Chris and Carol.

"Excuse me,“ Chris said to Carol in a tight voice. "But my chick‘s just come in and I‘ve got
something to straighten out.“

Carol stood stock still. She felt a hole where her heart used to be but she didn‘t know what
to do about it. She couldn‘t believe that the girl Chris had been referring to all evening was
the very same person she herself had been waiting to see.

Not only that, but Lila had entered the bar with someone else. Granted they may have
met only outside, but there was something about Lila that made Carol doubt this very much.
She felt like crying and running off the floor, but she tried to compose herself. The only
thing left to do was to rejoin Ellen at their table and never take her eyes off either Chris or
Lila.

"What‘s the matter?“ Ellen asked as Carol sat back down. "You look as though you‘ve just
seen a ghost.“

Carol smiled thinly. She had seen a ghost all right. The ghost of herself! "Where‘s this
chick you‘re supposed to see?“ Ellen babbled on. "Isn‘t she coming? If not, you can always
spend the night at my place.“ Carol looked quickly at Ellen to see if she was trying to make a
joke, but it was hard to tell.

"Chris tells me you two used to be lovers,“ Carol said evenly. "Until she caught you
fucking around with some model.“

Ellen laughed brightly. "Oh! She behaved like such an ass over that silly little
indiscretion! Honestly! Whoever would have believed that Chris had such a temper!“

"Maybe it was a silly little indiscretion to you,“ Carol said tartly. "But obviously you
meant more to her than she did to you.“

"Well it looks as though she cares about someone else now,“ Ellen mused carelessly,
watching as Chris gestured down at Lila. Carol followed Ellen‘s gaze. Suddenly she was
filled with the hope that they would break up, then she would move in. There certainly was a
world of difference in the way Lila appeared this evening as compared to the belle of the
ball role she had enjoyed only last night.

"Isn‘t it awfully late for you to be up?“ Carol asked. She wanted to be rid of this spy she
felt her mother had sent.

"If you knew what was good for you,“ Ellen said nastily, "you wouldn‘t be so smart with
your mouth.“

"What‘s that supposed to mean?“ Carol demanded. "Look,“ she continued, "I know
you and my mother have something cooking up your sleeves, but don‘t expect any
co-operation from me!“

And Carol left their table and went to the ladies room. A line had formed and this gave
Carol an opportunity to check out the other women under light more revealing than
that which the bar provided.

She was surprised to see more people there Ellen‘s age than her own. This saddened and
depressed her. On top of discovering what a fuckabout Lila was, Carol didn‘t think she
could take much more of this shit!

Just then the door opened. Carol turned around automatically and found herself
staring right into Lila‘s face.

"Hi, Lila,“ she said, searching the other girl‘s face for some sign of feeling about what had
transpired between them earlier that same day.

"Hi!“ Lila said. "What‘s happening? I see you met Chris!“ Her attitude was so light about
the whole thing, Carol doubted it was as serious as she was perceiving it to be. She longed
to throw her arms around Lila and take her out of this place, but she felt trapped in her own
impotence.

"Do you think it‘s possible that I might get a chance to dance with you later?“ Carol
asked. She held her breath, trembling in fear that Lila might laugh right in her face. A few
women were silent, as though listening and this made Carol feel more self-conscious than
ever.

"Why not?“ Lila asked. "Say,“ she added, "I really have to go. Would you mind letting me
in front of you?“

"No!“ Carol said, backing out of the way and letting Lila in front. Shit! She would have let
her piss all over her for crying out loud!

Now she was faced with Lila‘s back. Even though they weren‘t pressed tit to shoulder
blade, Carol could smell her familiar perfume and it sent a wave of longing winging
through her body.

Slowly her hands came up from her side and she reached out to embrace Lila.

"That‘ll be enough of that!“ an angry looking bulldyke snapped. It was her job to make
sure no hanky panky went on in the toilets and this struck Carol as the height of hypocrisy
in a bar that existed for future coupling!

The girl‘s room was hot and Carol almost gave up on waiting in line. It was pure torture
for her to stand so close to Lila and not be able to hold her.

Then Lila had taken her turn. Holding the door open for Carol, she said brightly: "Catch
you later!“ and then she was gone.

Carol hurried up with her toilet and practically raced to the other room. Now Chris and
Ellen were engaged in conversation. Carol looked around the room and saw Lila
standing by the bar. She went over to her.

"What‘s the story?“ she asked. "Are you with Chris tonight or what?“

"I‘m always with Chris,“ Lila said a little coldly. "Except when she‘s not around.“

"Yeah, I know,“ Carol said ruefully. "What I mean is that I had hoped what happened
between the two of us was as important to you as it was to me.“ Lila turned towards the
bartender then.

"Gin & Tonic,“ she instructed. "Tall!“

She waited for her drink to come and Carol felt she was taking this opportunity to
avoid confronting her.

"Okay,“ she said. "I‘ve got it. See you around.“ As she neared her table she could hear Chris
saying to Ellen, "You‘d better watch your ass when you walk out of this bar, sweetheart!“ A
thrill raced through Carol. Chris was tough as shit! No wonder Lila acted afraid to talk
around her. Maybe Chris was keeping Lila against her will. She would love to talk to Lila
about it, but Lila was making it impossible.

"Look, lowlife,“ Ellen sneered, "you lay a hand on me and the cops will wipe the sidewalk
with your body!“

"Hey, hey!“ Carol said, hoping that if she intervened they would tone it down. People at
the next table were beginning to stare.

"Stay out of this,“ Chris said, not with anger, but as a matter of fact. Carol shrugged and
got her bag.

"Bye,“ she said, leaving before either of them could say a word. On her way out the door,
Diane blocked her path.

"Lonely, honey?“ she cooed. "I know you can‘t leave with Chris, so what‘s wrong with me?“

This was getting interesting to Carol. Diane had entered with Lila and Carol would
love to learn as much as she could about what the two of them had been doing.

"I‘ve got to get out of this place,“ Carol said. She waited for Diane‘s reaction.

"Fine with me,“ Diane said. She walked out the Cat with Carol and Carol vowed never to
go in that place again.

"Where do you want to go?“ she asked Diane when they were on the sidewalk.

Diane shrugged. "By the way, my name is Diane,“ she said. "I‘m free. I‘ll go anywhere
interesting.“

Suddenly Carol longed to jump in her car and go for a drive.

"I‘ve got a car,“ she said. "Let‘s go someplace away from the city.“ Where exactly, Carol
had no idea, but she felt as though driving might remove the mood she was in.

"Far out!“ Diane said. The chick must have money. Not too many girls that Diane knew in
the city had cars.

It was several blocks to Carol‘s garage and she didn‘t bother adding that she lived in the
high-rise above it. They had to wait a few minutes for her car to come up, and this gave the
two girls a chance to look at one another.

Carol wondered if those well-formed lips that Diane possessed had just left the mouth or
cunt of the girl she felt she was in love with. If so, she too wanted to moosh her own mouth
around on them and swap spit with the owner.

Carol waited until they were roaring up the West Side highway before saying
anything though. Her spirits had lifted already and as she saw the lights of the George
Washington bridge ahead of her, she felt like driving to Virginia.

Her little Mercedes coupe hummed along as though happy to be out of the garage and
free on the highway once again.

Carol began talking to Diane. Diane was a lot quieter in the car than she had been in
the bar. The fact that Carol might have money awed her as it always did. She had a desire to
please Carol, so she answered her questions freely.

"Yeah,“ she said, not knowing the true meaning behind Carol‘s questions, "that Lila is a
fuckabout!“

"Oh?“ Carol asked carefully.

Shit! She thought to herself. She tried to hate Lila, but it was still difficult.

"Yeah,“ Diane was saying as they crossed the bridge and took off down the Jersey
Turnpike, "We just got through making it ourselves!“

Carol almost ran off the road. Then she decided fuck it. "I slept with her this morning
myself,“ she said.

"No Shit!“ Diane said and Carol was quick to note that it didn‘t mean a pile of beans to
Diane. So why should it mean so much to me, she wondered?

Lila was pretty, granted, but so were a lot of other girls. Carol didn‘t know the exact
reason but she supposed it had something to do with the star-like quality Lila had
projected the night before when she had seen her alone.

"What‘s the story on Chris?“ Carol asked.

Diane launched into Chris‘s role with Lila. "Chris likes to take care of people and when she
first met Lila, she reminded her of herself many years ago. I don‘t know. Who can explain
what attracts one person to the other?“

It made more sense to Carol now why Lila would be with Chris, but what Carol wanted to
do was show Lila that she, Carol, could take better care of Lila than Chris ever could.

Diane pulled out several joints then and they rode along silently, grooving on the
lights and the motion of the car as it cruised along.

Several minutes later and Carol was beginning to feel as though Diane was the nicest
person in the world. She took her right hand off the wheel and reached over for Diane‘s
hand. Giving it a squeeze, she thought to herself how smooth the skin was, as though it had
never done any hard work. Much like her own hands.

Diane began talking then. Her voice rose ever so slightly over the music and Carol felt
as though her voice was meant to go with music. She knew that it might have been
conditioning that made her automatically assume that every black person loved to
sing, but she couldn‘t help feeling that way, anyhow!

As it turned out, Diane did love to sing and was singing in a group right now. "We‘re not
as good as The Supremes,“ she said modestly. "And I‘m not Diane Ross, but we try and we
get a big kick out of it.“

"Don‘t you want to be as good as The Supremes?“ Carol asked, "or are you just trying
not to brag?“

"Sure, I guess you could say I have my ambitions,“ Diane said. And she lapsed into
silence.

She had her ambitions all right! The reason she had split from her house had everything
to do with her ambitions. Everyone in her house had wanted her to become a nurse. They
thought she was off the wall for wanting to be a singer.

If they knew she was gay to boot, she would be thrown out of her house on her ass.
Though she had spent her entire childhood eating out her little sisters, all of them were
now married!

Carol noticed the number of motels they were passing and she suddenly had a
yearning to stop in one. She didn‘t think Diane would voice any objections, so without
saying anything she pulled into the next one.

"I‘ll be right back,“ she said, parking the car in front of the office and going inside for a
room. She doubted if Diane had enough money on her to split a room and she wanted to do
this on her own.

"That was fast,“ Diane observed as Carol popped back into the car.

Carol said nothing but parked the car in front of the section that matched her room key.
Taking a bottle of scotch out of her glove compartment, she waved gaily at Diane.

"Get your ass in gear!“ she shouted.

Diane smiled broadly and got out of the car. Inside the room, Carol flopped down on the
big bed and bounced up and down several times.

"Come on!“ she invited Diane. "It‘s fun!“ But Diane disappeared into the bathroom.
She returned shortly with two glasses and a pitcher of water.

"Break out the scotch, honey,“ she drawled. "We might as well make a night of it!“ Carol
sloshed the scotch into the two glasses and raised hers in a toast to Diane.

"Lips that touched Lila‘s, will now touch mine!“ and she took such a huge gulp of the
strong liquor that she began sputtering and choking.

Diane had the brains to sip hers more slowly, but then, she wasn‘t as hysterical as Carol
and she knew it.

Carol turned on the television. Her favorite program, "Mary Hartman, Mary
Hartman“, was on. The fact that cocaine had been found in Louise Lasser‘s purse endeared
the actress to Carol in a way no amount of acting could have.

"That‘s the stupidest program I ever did see,“ Diane snorted, but she flopped on her
stomach also, next to Carol, and watched as the two faggots fought over whether or not
they should announce to the world their true situation.

"Shit!“ Diane said. "I can see the day when that would happen!“

"Stop your hooting,“ Carol said. And she told Diane about Ellen being her mother‘s
friend and how she must know which way Carol was bent.

The scotch was making both girls giddy now and lazy in their approach to each other.

"Take off your clothes, bitch,“ Carol instructed Diane. She felt reckless and crazy
towards Diane. And happy too.

"Don‘t go calling me no bitch!“ Diane protested, but Carol could see where she didn‘t
really mind.

Diane stood then and underwent an elaborate strip tease act for her new friend. Carol
gaped through her blurring vision at the way Diane‘s tits jutted out as straight in the front
as her high nigger‘s ass shot out in the back.

Not willing to be outdone by Diane‘s assets, Carol lurched to her feet and began
pulling off her clothes.

"Here,“ Diane offered. "Let me help.“

The long dress that Carol had worn to her mother‘s dinner party was stained with spilled
drinks and the hem was soiled from walking on the sidewalk, but Carol didn‘t care. At three
bucks a shot it would be cheaper to throw it away than get it cleaned.

Diane gazed admiringly at Carol‘s body. "You sure do have a nice body,“ she
murmured and she reached out with her right hand to fondle and tweak Carol‘s tits.

Carol leaned forward, letting her breasts brush against Diane‘s lips. She could feel
Diane‘s hot breath searing into the sensitive flesh and it sent a shiver of delight racing
through her body.

Diane started sucking on her tits then, and Carol grabbed onto her woolly head for
support. Though Diane‘s hair felt like a bunch of brillo pads to Carol, she liked the way the
other girl‘s Afro felt.

Her hands began pulling on Diane‘s hair, feeling its wiry strands cut slightly into the skin
on her fingers.

"Your hair feels funny,“ she burped, but she kept playing with it all the same, moving
Diane‘s head back and forth as easily as Diane‘s tongue licked and sucked on her tits.

Diane was used to comments from white girls about her hair. At first she had been
offended, but when she realized they were only marveling over the difference, she no
longer resented it.

She reached up with one hand and pulled a few wisps of Carol‘s own baby fine blonde
hair.

"Your hair feels funny too,“ her muffled voice said.

Carol fell on Diane then, pushing her backwards on the bed. Their cunts were rubbing
against each other, so Diane began bouncing Carol up and down. For the first time since last
night, Carol wasn‘t thinking about Lila. She was glad that Diane had approached her as she
was leaving the Cat, otherwise her entire evening would have been a complete waste.

She jerked her tits out of Diane‘s mouth then and bent her head lower in order to suck
on Diane‘s full breasts. Diane thrust her chest up in the air and seized Carol‘s head harshly in
her hands.

"That‘s it, okay chick,“ she said. "Suck mama‘s tits!“ Shit! Carol thought. She wished she
had had a big black mama when she was growing up instead of that cold bitch who called
herself Mother. Just thinking about her mother made Carol freeze for a second, so she put
her out of her mind and concentrated on sucking Diane‘s tits. She wished Diane had milk
in them. That would be a gas, nursing at twenty-three years of age! She squeezed Diane‘s tit
that didn‘t have her mouth on it and grooved on the way it kept popping back into place.

"Go down on me, sweetie,“ Diane urged.

Her voice had changed, lowered itself by several octaves so that its huskiness aroused
Carol to new heights of passion.

She squirmed down on the large bed so that her head was now between Diane‘s two
black thighs.

Plunging her tongue out of her mouth like a muted weapon, Carol began sucking on the
black box of her new companion.

CHAPTER FOUR

Ellen was at Elizabeth‘s apartment by eleven o‘clock the next morning. Elizabeth
herself opened the apartment door eagerly, dressed in a thin nylon robe that showed her
body easily to Ellen who always noticed those things.

"What happened?“ she squealed, practically dragging Ellen in the apartment.

"Nothing much,“ Ellen said. "Got any coffee?“ She could smell it. She just thought it
better to ask.

Elizabeth led the way into the dining room where Elizabeth had fresh rolls and the
entire service set for coffee. Pouring her friend a cup, Elizabeth then poured herself one
and peered at Ellen over the rim.

"Well!“ she demanded. "Did you seduce the little dyke?“

"You certainly have a way with words,“ Ellen observed dryly. "I‘m glad you‘re not MY
mother!“

"Go on!“ Elizabeth insisted, letting the insult run right off her back without even
hearing it.

Ellen told Elizabeth about her lack of success last night, finishing with: "If I were you,
Liz, I‘d forget the whole plan. It‘s mad to begin with!“

"Easy for you to say,“ Elizabeth spat. "You‘re one who would be content to live in a
garret!“

"That‘s not true and you know it,“ Ellen said. "It‘s just that there are ways and there are
ways, if you know what I mean.“

And she took a long sip of coffee.

Elizabeth told Ellen how she had met a shrink at party last week who had advised her to
document her proof that Carol was incapable of reaching her majority and she would
probably get all the money for herself.

Ellen studied Elizabeth carefully. She was a very attractive woman as far as Ellen was
concerned. She had just never thought about going to bed with her before. Well, Ellen
thought philosophically, if I can‘t get the daughter, maybe the mother will have to do.

"Did you have cosmetic surgery performed on your body?“ she asked Elizabeth
suddenly.

Elizabeth gave a little pleased gasp. "Why no!“ she protested. "Why do you ask?“ Ellen
lit a cigarette and blew the smoke in Elizabeth‘s face. "You certainly don‘t look your age
beneath the neck, that‘s for damn sure!“ Elizabeth laughed uneasily. "That sounds like a
double-edged compliment to me,“ she said. "But at this stage of the game, I‘ll take it.“

"Tell me something,“ Ellen asked. "How is it you never got divorced from Phil? You‘re
not in love with him, are you?“ Elizabeth almost choked on her coffee. "You ought to have
been able to figure that one out,“ she said. "The only clue I‘ll give you is that love had
nothing to do with it.“

"Hmm,“ Ellen said. She was deliberating over whether or not she should make a move
right here at the table. She figured the most her friend could do to her was slap her face.

"Hand me the sugar, will you?“ she asked Elizabeth.

Elizabeth reached obligingly towards the sugar and Ellen grabbed her hand.

"Wha ... t?“ Elizabeth gasped. "Ellen!

What‘s come over you? You‘ve been acting awfully peculiar lately.“

"Don‘t give me that bullshit,“ Ellen snapped, not relinquishing her grip on Elizabeth
by an inch.

"Ow!“ Elizabeth whined, pulling her hand back from Ellen, "that‘s painful!“ But Ellen was
out of her chair and on top of Elizabeth before she had a chance to protest any longer.

She pinned Elizabeth‘s shoulders against her chair and forced her mouth onto hers. Ellen
was convinced that Elizabeth was a lesbian and she was willing to risk their friendship to
prove it.

As for Elizabeth, she was so taken aback by the first real physical contact she had
experienced in years, her first reaction was one of shock. Then, as Ellen‘s tongue did
exciting things to the inside of her mouth,. Elizabeth allowed herself to relax, enjoying
the powerful grip of the other woman and her skillful way with her tongue.

Ellen heard Elizabeth‘s breath growing shorter and more gasping and she took
courage from this sign of submission.

Though she would have preferred to be in Elizabeth‘s bedroom, she didn‘t want to
break her hold on Elizabeth right now. Then, she didn‘t have to. As Elizabeth came up for
breath, she suggested with lowered eyes, that they go into the bedroom.

Ellen didn‘t wait for a second invitation. She followed Elizabeth into the bedroom as
a male dog follows a bitch in heat.

The inside of Elizabeth‘s bedroom was pitch-black, even though the sun was shining
brightly outside. Elizabeth always kept her room this way, figuring sun rays in the
morning would give her wrinkles. Now, as she lay on her back, her legs parted, the robe
around her side: she was grateful for the darkness that hid her shyness.

She waited for Ellen to do something. She didn‘t know exactly what to expect, but she
assumed it would feel good, otherwise how explain all the women who dug sleeping
with each other?

The next thing Elizabeth was aware of was the tickling sensation of her clit being
nibbled at. Her first gasping reaction was to laugh, but she also realized this was just
self-consciousness on her part and bit down on her lower Up. With her closed eyes and the
darkened room, Elizabeth gave free rein to her capacity for arousal. Unfortunately for the
hard-working Ellen, Elizabeth was as inflammable as a brick.

Ellen lapped away for ten minutes before stopping. She had been given the
impression that she was making love to a corpse. Just as she was about to raise her head
and make a comment to this effect, the door to Elizabeth‘s room opened. At first Elizabeth
wasn‘t sure she could trust her ears. She peered through the darkness in order to ascertain
who had had the balls to enter her room without knocking. All she saw was the outline of a
man in the doorway When he spoke, her heart sank and she pushed frantically at Ellen‘s
head, trying to disengage her from between her thighs.

"Well!“ a deep male voice boomed. "Isn‘t this a pretty sight!“

"Phil!“ Elizabeth yelled. "How DARE you come into my room like this?“ But her voice didn‘t
carry the conviction of the innocently offended.

Phil rudely flipped the overhead light on and stared at Ellen who was wiping her mouth
on the back of her hand.

"Is that where you get your ideas for those ridiculous pieces of twisted iron you call
sculpture?“ he jeered. He was enjoying himself immensely.

Ellen cringed. If he had called her a filthy lesbian, she could have handled it, but to mock
her art was the unkindest cut of all. She sat up and tried to straighten her rumpled clothes
out. Elizabeth also was doing her best to yank her flimsy robe about her nakedness.

"I always thought you were a dyke,“ Phil said. "But you were so busy mocking my
masculinity I never got a chance to tell you!“

Elizabeth was chagrined and speechless for a change, but not for long. She swung her
legs over the side of the bed, practically knocking Ellen to the floor in the process and
stood up to face her former husband.

"I wouldn‘t be surprised if you were drunk out of your mind,“ she snapped. "And even if
you were, it‘s still no reason to barge into my room as though the two of us were still living
with one another.“

"Don‘t make me laugh,“ Phil said. "I didn‘t come to see you anyway. I came to see my
daughter. How is Carol? And where is she?“

Elizabeth‘s eyes narrowed. She had to be careful with what she said now.

"Now‘s a fine time to inquire about her. I wouldn‘t worry about Carol, if I were you Phil. As
long as she continues to get her checks, she‘s fine.“

"I‘d like to make sure she IS getting her checks,“ Phil said. "Is she still living in the
Village?“

"Isn‘t that where all lesbians live?“ Elizabeth said cruelly.

Phil looked long and hard at Ellen and Elizabeth.

"Apparently not!“ he shot at both of them before turning on his heels and walking out
the door.

"Now you‘ve done it!“ Elizabeth raged at Ellen. "You‘ve fucked up everything but good!
How the hell am I going to make a case out of Carol being a lesbian when he finds the two
of us doing whatever it was we were doing?“

Ellen looked at Elizabeth and burst out laughing. "You are really nuts!“ she said. "Look, I
have to go. If I see Carol or if anything new breaks, I‘ll be in touch. But don‘t bother me with
any of your crazy schemes anymore, okay?“

And she too left the bewildered Elizabeth alone in her room, wondering why it was
that she was so different than just about everyone she knew.

She sat at her vanity and stared at herself in the mirror. The face that looked back at her
was a person she realized she didn‘t even know.

Meanwhile, Phil had hit the sidewalk and was hailing a cab as Ellen too walked outside
the building. At first Phil didn‘t notice Ellen, but she went boldly up to him.

"If you‘re going to the Village to look for Carol, maybe I can help,“ she offered.

Phil stared at Ellen for a minute, not quite comprehending what on earth she was
talking about. Then, realizing his own sexual history wasn‘t exactly a model of propriety,
he shrugged and opened the door of a cab for Ellen.

They rode to the Village mainly in silence. Ellen felt Phil‘s thinly disguised hostility
towards her and she wanted to erase it.

"Don‘t be so hard on me or Elizabeth,“ she finally said. "At least you don‘t have to worry
about her fucking around with other men.“

Phil gave a short laugh. "Do you honestly think that‘s one of the things that concerns
me?“ he asked. "Shit! As far as I‘m concerned she could be fucking an elephant. It‘s no skin
off my nose.“

Ellen fell silent then. She realized that once people got into discussing sex,
rationality went flying out the window.

She gave Phil the address of the Cat and the advice that she didn‘t think Carol would be
there this early. Phil thanked her and promised to keep in touch with her, though in his heart
he hoped he would never see her again.

Giving her enough money for the cab, Phil got out and began to walk around the
Village. He hadn‘t been here in years and the changes overwhelmed him. He began to feel
sad, as though he had wasted much of his life. He certainly knew he had done things he
would have been better off not doing, but he wanted to make up for that now.

Seeing Carol was a beginning. It would be hard facing her, but he was willing to try.
Several times as he strolled about the Village he thought he saw her, but it never was. He
knew she had a car, as he had paid for it himself and he knew she was living in a safe
apartment. He admired the fact that she was keen on making her own way and he wanted
to let her know just how much her determination meant to him.

Growing tired of wandering around, Phil fell into the Lion‘s Head and ordered a beer.
This had been one of his favorite bars years ago when he used to go to the Village. It was
during those years he had held some hope out for himself that he could be another
Hemmingway, but that was all gone now with the realization that he indulged himself
too much and worked too little.

Fuck it, he said to himself. He didn‘t have to work to earn money and he had once
thought that was the only value of work. That had been his first mistake. It seemed to him
now that Carol knew more about the value of work than he did. Or, at least it seemed as
though she had learned her lesson earlier.

He wondered where she had gotten her drive from. Certainly not from her immediate
parents!

The man next to Phil was reading Newsweek and Phil was dying to talk to someone. He
noticed the cover story was about Coming Out, a phenomena that was happening with
gay people in all walks of life.

"My daughter is a lesbian,“ Phil said.

The man glanced up from the article and stared at Phil. Then he returned to his reading.
Phil threw some money on the bar and walked out. The Village didn‘t seem as friendly to him
as it once had.

He decided to sit in the park until it got dark. Finding an empty bench was easy at this
time of day and Phil tried to look as though he belonged there, meanwhile staring at
everyone who passed him as though they were freaks.

Though Phil‘s life now was full of young nubile chickies, at least none of them were
related to him. He suspected most of them were attracted to his money and his
generosity but that didn‘t really bother him. For a man approaching fifty, Phil looked
excellent.

Meanwhile, Diane and Carol had changed their minds about going to Virginia. Right
now Carol was anxious to get back to New York. She had enjoyed sleeping with Diane last
night and she enjoyed her company in the car right now, but her yearning to know more
about Lila had reasserted itself the next day as painful as the hangover she had.

They had stopped in Maryland for breakfast and then bought a six-pack to drink in the
car on the way back to New York. As they winged along, swilling away at their beer, Carol
glanced in her rear-view mirror and saw to her dismay the flashing red and orange lights
of a patrol car.

"Shit!“ she exploded. "Ditch the beer under the seat or something.“ She slowed the
Mercedes down and pulled over to the side of the highway. Fishing around in her purse so
that she would have her license and registration handy for the officer, she saw several
loose joints fall to the floor. But she was able to stuff them back into her purse before rolling
down her window. To her surprise, the Smokey was a woman.

"Let me see your license and registration, dearie,“ the woman said. Carol handed them
over to her quickly. The woman peered inside the car, taking in the fact that Diane looked
as though she had had one too many.

"May I ask what I was doing wrong?“ Carol asked, trying to use a subservient tone of
voice that normally worked with male officers.

"You may,“ the woman patrol officer said.

"Well?“ Carol asked. "What was I doing wrong?“

"To begin with, you were breaking the speed limit by ten miles an hour and you were
drinking a beer, weren‘t you?“ Carol was so astonished that the officer knew she was
drinking a beer that she said, "Yes, Ma‘am, I was.“

"You got a lot of problems?“ the woman asked, peering kindly into Carol‘s face.

"Yes,“ Carol said.

"You‘re going to have a lot more problems if you continue to drink and drive,“ the
woman said. She whipped out her ticket book.

"What are you doing?“ Carol cried in alarm. She had already received one conviction of
a drunk driving charge and another one would fix her ass for years.

"I‘m giving you a ticket,“ the woman said. Her voice was calm and Carol knew if she had
a gun she would have shot her right there and then.

"Are you giving me a ticket for speeding, drinking, or both?“ she asked in a little voice.

The woman stopped writing then and looked at Carol. "You‘re lucky young lady. I‘m only
giving you a ticket for speeding.“

"Thank you!“ Carol sighed with relief.

She accepted the ticket from the woman as though it was a gift from the gods.

Driving much more carefully on the way to New York, Carol told Diane about the time
she had been drinking Nytol for her cold and had gotten arrested for drunk driving.

"I was falling asleep at the wheel, actually,“ she said. "I didn‘t know at the time that
Nytol has twenty-five percent alcohol in it. But they don‘t give a shit what you get drunk
on. If your driving is impaired, it‘s impaired!“

They decided to cool it on the beer and smoked a few joints on the way back to New York
instead.

"You know,“ Carol mused. "It‘s absolutely frightening to think who‘s driving cars on
the roads today! I mean everyone I know drives stoned or drunk.“

"Yeah,“ Diane said. "Thank God for public transportation.“

"Getting mugged or murdered on the subway isn‘t too swift either,“ Carol said.

"What do you know about the subway?“ Diane asked scornfully. "A chick like you
doesn‘t know what it‘s like to survive in New York.“

"When do you think you‘ll see Lila again?“ Carol asked, eager to change the subject and
anxious to talk of her beloved.

"I don‘t know,“ Diane said. "Probably the next time I go to the Cat.“ Carol drove Diane
home and then split for her apartment. As soon as she changed, she was going to call Ellen
and find out where Chris lived.

Ellen didn‘t mention right away that Carol‘s father was looking for her, but she did after
she gave Carol Chris‘s address.

Carol received the news that her father was wandering around the Village looking for
her with mixed emotions. Any other time and it might have cheered her up to see the old
reprobate, but right now all she wanted to do was talk to Lila. She called her number.

"Hello?“ Lila asked.

"Is Chris there?“ Carol wanted to know.

"I‘m sorry, she‘s working right now,“ Lila said politely.

"When will she be home?“ Carol continued.

"Maybe around midnight,“ Lila said. "I‘m not sure. Who‘s calling please?“

"Hi Lila,“ Carol said. "It‘s me, Carol.“

She waited for Lila‘s reaction.

"Oh hi, Carol!“ Lila replied with genuine delight. "What do you want with Chris?“

"Nothing,“ Carol said. "I just wanted to know if you were free later on.“

"I suppose so,“ Lila said guardedly.

"Why don‘t you come over to my place then?“ Carol asked, trying desperately to keep
the eagerness out of her voice.

"Maybe I will,“ Lila said vaguely. "What‘s your phone number?“ Carol gave it to her and
hung up. She couldn‘t believe her luck! Not only was Chris out of the way for most of the
evening, but now Lila had her number and would call her back!

Carol took a long hot shower, trying to erase all traces of her encounter with Diane. She
wanted to be fresh and new for her time with Lila. She only hoped that Lila would not fail her.

As she was drying herself off with her favorite fluffy towel, her bell rang.

Shit! Carol swore. Who the fuck is that? Throwing a robe over her nakedness, she
pressed the intercom. Not bothering to disguise the annoyance in her voice, she said:
"Yes?“

"Can I come up now?“ a female voice asked.

"Who is this?“ Carol demanded.

"It‘s me,“ the voice said. "Me!“

Falling for the oldest trick in New York, Carol released the buzzer and went back to her
bathroom. Powdering her pits in a hurry and finishing her toilet off with a heavy dose of
perfume, Carol slipped into some bells and a midriff top. Surveying herself in the mirror
she decided she looked none the worse for the sexual wear and tear she had experienced
in the past few days.

Just then her bell rang. ‚Going to the door she flung it open and stared in total shock as
Chris barged into her living room.

"Hey, bitch!“ Chris snarled, reaching for Carol‘s throat. "Trying to make time with my
chick, huh? Huh?“ and she pinned Carol up against the wall.

"What the hell!“ Carol gasped, but she was pinned by Chris‘s powerful grasp.

"No wonder you hang out with that bitch Ellen,“ Chris continued to harrange. "The
two of you make a great couple.“

Carol was beginning to fear for her life when her buzzer rang again. Chris turned her
head quickly towards the sound.

"Get rid of whoever that is,“ she instructed Carol, "and no tricks!“ As if to emphasize
her point, she squeezed her hand around Carol‘s throat even tighter. Choking and
sputtering, Carol once again asked into the intercom who it was.

"Phil,“ the male voice replied. "I‘m on my way up!“ Then he was off with a click. Though
Carol had mixed emotions about Phil, his voice never sounded so welcomed to her. Chris
relaxed her hold completely on Carol now. Carol could do nothing but stare into the
twisted face that was Chris‘s.

"How did you know?“ she couldn‘t help but ask.

Chris laughed. "Are you kidding me?“ she sneered, "I was listening on the extension!“

"Then why ... ?“ Carol started to ask. She had never been so confused in her life.

"Let me give you one good reason to stay away from my chick,“ Chris said. "To begin with,
she‘s a psycho. And Number Two, she‘s mine!“

And with that, she turned on her booted heel and clomped out of the apartment. But just
as soon as she opened the door, Phil bounced in.

"Who‘s your friend?“ he asked, appraising Chris up and down. Chris paused for an
instant, torn between flight and curiosity.

Carol saw where her father assumed that Chris was a friend and she laughed. "That‘s
Chris,“ she said as Chris slammed out the door.

Phil went over to the couch and flopped down on the cushions. "So tell me little one,“ he
said, "What‘s with the gay life that keeps you so far removed from your mother‘s?“

Carol stared at her father. "Who told you that?“ she asked.

"Look,“ Phil said. "I‘m not exactly wet behind the ears you know. " And he told Carol
about Ellen and Elizabeth that morning.

Carol broke out some wine she had hoped to share with Lila and the two of them
proceeded to get drunk. . Carol had never thought in her wildest dreams that someday she
would be sitting down with her father trying to discuss her gay life.

Phil listened carefully, nodding when Carol was serious and laughing when she
mocked herself. He made no mention of his guilt over their aborted trip to Europe and
neither did Carol. However, their avoidance of the topic only hid the fact that they both
thought it was pertinent.

"This thing you have with Lila sounds real far out to me,“ Phil finally said when Carol had
exhausted the subject. "I‘d like to meet her.“

"I‘d like you to meet her too,“ Carol admitted. "Right now I‘m under the impression
everyone is trying to drive me crazy!“

"If I were you,“ Phil said. "I‘d watch out for your mother.“ He wouldn‘t elaborate, only
admitting it was a feeling that he had. "And Ellen,“ he added. "She‘s weird as all shit!“ Phil
wanted to lay some bread on Carol and she was not adverse to taking it. "I hear your
mother‘s been meeting with lawyers,“ Phil told her, "she may try to fuck up the money
you‘re entitled to, so watch out.“ He stood then. "Well, I have a flight back to San Francisco
tonight. I hope I make it.“ He glanced at his watch before kissing Carol goodbye. Carol
threw her arms around his waist and hugged him. "Keep in touch, Phil,“ she said. "When do
you think you‘ll be back in New York?“

"I never know,“ Phil said. "But let‘s keep in contact. If it wasn‘t for Ellen telling me. The
block you lived on, I doubt I would have found you at all.“ Carol resolved right then and there
to call Ellen and thank her. Maybe she should have a thing with Ellen and forget her
obsession with the strange Lila. But as soon as her father was gone, the old desire and
longing began again, driving her up the wall and made more acute by the liquor in her
system.

But now she was afraid. Chris was a dangerous person. Carol dialed Ellen. They
chatted for several minutes before getting down to business.

"If I were you,“ Ellen advised. "I‘d concentrate on my career as an art director and
forget the social life for awhile.“

That kind of advise could have stemmed from her mother and Carol wasn‘t interested in
hearing about it.

"Why don‘t you come over here?“ Ellen suggested. "I‘ve made enough dinner for two
and I hate to eat alone.“

Carol agreed to go, saying goodbye to her plans for the evening with Lila with regret.

She had forgotten to find out which restaurant Chris worked in, but before she called
Lila again, she vowed she would check it out in person to make sure Chris was really there.
There was no doubt she would call Lila. She was more intrigued than ever now. She just
couldn‘t believe that Lila had deliberately set her up for an encounter with Chris that
could have turned into a disaster. Walking towards Ellen‘s place, Carol felt envious of all
the couples she saw strolling in the street. How was it some people seem to find it so easy to
be. In love, while for others it seemed to be nothing but heartache? But despite her
feelings of loneliness, hope burned brightly in her breast.

CHAPTER FIVE

Lila was lying on her back in bed, watching television when Chris let herself in the
apartment.

"Is that you, honey?“ she called out to her lover. "Did you take care of her?“

"Not exactly,“ Chris admitted. "Her father came up and ruined it all.“

"No shit,“ Lila said. "I thought he was out of the country.“

"He was,“ Chris said, flopping down next to Lila on their bed. She reached for the younger
girl automatically, and Lila snuggled close to Chris, though absently, as if distracted.

"It‘s too bad we need the money,“ she said. "I kind of like her.“

"What do you mean?“ Chris asked sharply.

Lila was smart enough to force her voice to be light. "Oh, you know,“ she answered
vaguely. "I mean that she seems all right to me.

Chris snorted. "What do you know?“ she asked. Her arm went around Lila. "How can you
watch this shit?“ she asked her, gesturing towards the tube.

"There‘s nothing else to do,“ Lila whined. She started to become restless. "I‘m hungry,“
she said.

"You‘re always hungry,“ Chris grumbled. But she got off the bed and went to their small
kitchen. "Want some chocolate pudding?“ she called into Lila.

"Okay,“ Lila answered. Chris got Lila a dish and brought it back to their bed. She watched
in a kind of dull fascination as Lila spooned the creamy pudding between her lips.

An ache, low in her groin began to develop. Without thinking, she loosened her pants by
unsnapping the snap that held her jeans around her waist and stuck her hand down inside.
The feeling of her pubic hairs gave her comfort, though fell far short from satisfying her.

"At least you don‘t have to worry about getting fat,“ she said petulantly to Lila. Lila didn‘t
bother answering her. She never thought about getting fat. She was blessed with the kind
of slender frame that could consume enormous amounts of garbage food with no
repercussions. Right now, she was dressed in shorts that came just below her well-formed
buns, and was naked from the waist up.

"It‘s hot in here,“ she said suddenly, placing the dish of half-eaten pudding on the night
table.

"Why don‘t you take off your shorts?“ Chris asked. She loved it when Lila paraded around
their small apartment nude. It was like having a beautiful animal in its natural state as a
pet.

"Why don‘t you take them off,“ her lover answered.

"Shit! Are you lazy!“ Chris said, but she was happy for this chore. She turned towards Lila,
her face even with Lila‘s flat stomach. As her hands went around Lila‘s waist to tug off the
cut-off shorts, she couldn‘t resist planting a wet kiss on the other girl‘s belly.

Lila squirmed with pleasure. "All you think about is eating me,“ she commented, but
she made no move to push the heavier girl away.

"Mmmm,“ Chris answered. She was sucking on Lila‘s belly button now, digging her thick
tongue into the little indentation.

Lila closed her eyes and began moving her hips in a rotating up and down movement.
She felt lazy and spoiled. Though Chris was far from her physical counterpart, she did
provide Lila with the feeling of protection and endless pleasure. For Lila, whose
childhood had been one continuous round of abuse, her meeting up with Chris had been
one of her more lucky breaks. She had lied when she told Carol that she had only been in the
city a short while. Actually, she had been with Chris for several months. Her sudden
appearance in the Cat-was due more to the fact that she seldom escaped from Chris‘s
watchful eye.

Chris had Lila‘s shorts off now, thrown into a corner of the room. All her concentration
was located on Lila‘s cunt. She spread the lips apart with both hands, staring into the moist
pinkness for several seconds before closing her eyes and getting lost in the taste
sensations of Lila‘s cunt. When Chris was eating out Lila, she was in another world. She was
very different from Ellen, more like a beautiful toy. Ellen was so concerned with forcing
her unique personality on Chris, that Chris used to get the feeling she was just some kind
of slavering idiot brought in to bring Ellen off. Lila may have felt the same way about Chris,
but she never made her feel like that.

Chris may have been basically simple in her desires and needs, but she was still
sensitive. Too sensitive, in fact. Her bruised ego never seemed to heal. But now, eating out
Lila, Chris felt content. She liked to try new things with Lila and in that way expressed her
creative capacity, regardless of how limited it was. Right now she was thinking about
the chocolate pudding sitting a few feet away on the night table But rather than reach for it
right now and smear its remains on Lila‘s cunt, she contented herself with the natural
taste of Lila‘s box and its outpouring of copious fluids. She had her hands firmly planted
against the underside of Lila‘s thighs, pushing them back gently so that Lila‘s thighs were
beginning to fold back onto her stomach. Now her twat in all its rich, bright pink glory was
spread before Chris‘s mouth. She nibbled and sucked on Lila‘s clit, pushing her face and
nose around so that it covered the entire area.

As for Lila, she felt herself drifting off into another world. Whenever she was getting
eaten out, her thoughts seemed to take off to other times in her life, other sexual memories,
not all of them pleasant. Right now, enjoying the caressing silkiness of Chris‘s wet, warm
tongue, all of Lila‘s memories were pleasant.

Like the time she had gone off to camp. She had been fourteen at the time and showed
great promise as a swimmer. The swimming instructor at the camp had been a young
woman in her early twenties, and at that time, Eileen had been everything that Lila had
wanted to become.

Her hair was so blonde, it was almost white and the contrast this provided with her tan
was so thrilling to Lila, she had tried to bleach her own hair later, when she returned home,
but her mother had beaten her severely for this, calling her a tramp and a whore. Lila had had
an opportunity to discover whether or not Eileen‘s hair was truly blonde one night after a
songfest at the camp. Lila had wandered off from the group as they had left the great hall in
the woods and headed back to their tents. All the instructors lived in cabins and this had
struck Lila at the time as being the height of luxury. The instructors had radios and
televisions in their cabins while the campers were left humming themselves to sleep at
night.

This evening, Lila was feeling depressed and had chosen to stroll back to her tent alone.
She didn‘t want to talk the inane chitchat that passed for conversation with the other girls.
As a matter of fact, she had very little in common with the other girls, feeling different
from them. They talked only of boys, and even now, Lila wasn‘t all that interested in boys.
The main thing she was interested in was becoming a good swimmer.

"Hey wait up,“ she heard a voice behind her call.

"Shit!“ Lila had thought to herself, not recognizing the voice of Eileen as it was the
most unlikely thing she could imagine that Eileen would want to get her alone. To Lila, Eileen
was like a creature from another planet. Her very aloofness, her harshness and exactitude
in the discipline she demanded of her pupils made her remote to Lila. But she turned,
this evening and saw instantly the moon shining on the almost white hair.

"Oh!“ Lila had said, stopping obediently and waiting for the older woman to
approach her.

"Why so glum?“ Eileen had asked easily, falling into step with Lila.

Lila shrugged self-consciously. "I‘m all right,“ she said. She felt tongue-tied around her
admired instructor and not at all capable of initiating conversation.

"Those song things can get to be a drag,“ Eileen had said. "It makes one appreciate the
radio even more!“

Lila laughed. "At least you have one,“ she said enviously.

"That‘s not all we‘re allowed to have,“ Eileen said.

When Lila didn‘t answer, Eileen said, "Would you like to see my cabin?“ Lila stopped
walking along the path then, in shock.

"You mean I could go inside your cabin?“ she asked in disbelief.

"Of course!“ Eileen said with a half-laugh. "After all, it‘s mine for the summer!“

"Well sure!“ Lila breathed. "I would love too!“

"Don‘t worry about bed check,“ Eileen went on. "I happen to know that Rocky is getting
drunk right now.“

"You mean you can DRINK in your cabin?“ Lila had squealed. To her that was terribly
shocking.

"Well, I‘m not much of a drinker,“ Eileen said. "After all, I‘m supposed to be an athlete.
But I‘m not opposed to having a little wine every now and then.“

She had taken the lead now on the narrow path and was leading the way to her cabin.
Lila looked around her. She would love the other girls to see Eileen and her walking
together. But there was no one around.

Inside the cabin, Eileen had lit a lantern and turned on her stereo. The room was small,
but it was comfortable and homey. It was certainly a far cry from a cot in a tent and Lila felt
as though she had been invited to the White House.

"Take a cushion over there and have a seat on the rug,“ Eileen said. She had gone to her
refrigerator and was removing a tall, skinny bottle with red stuff inside.

"Wine,“ she explained.

Lila hardly dared breathe. She wanted to run into the woods and announce to the entire
camp that SHE, Lila, had been invited to her swimming instructor‘s cabin for WINE! But her
desire to announce this to everyone was tempered by the knowledge that this evening
should be a secret. Why, she wasn‘t exactly sure, but Lila knew that something was in the air
other than discussing her swimming career. All Lila had to do to win the top swimming
honors in the camp was earn her White Cap. Right now she was a level beneath, but she had
felt that if she tried hard enough she might make it.

Eileen handed her a juice glass full of the wine and said: "Try it. Have you ever had wine?“

"No,“ Lila admitted. She was surprised when Eileen sat down next to her on the rug
instead of on the bed or the one chair that was in the room. She felt frightened in some odd
way, though it was more a fear of the unknown than a threat of physical violence.

"Having you in my class is a pleasure,“ Eileen said. And then she lit a cigarette. This
really shocked Lila. Not only because Eileen was an athlete, but because absolutely no
cigarettes were allowed in the camp.

"Smoke?“ Eileen asked automatically. Then she jerked the cigarette back. "Sorry,“ she
said. "You‘d better NOT smoke!“

"I don‘t,“ Lila had assured her.

"Good,“ Eileen said emphatically, but she made no move to put her cigarette out. As
she fiddled with the ashes in the ashtray and her cigarette butt, Lila took this opportunity
to study Eileen closely. There was something boyish about her face. Her features were clean
and sharply defined, like a handsome boy before he shaves. She smelled good too, though
Lila didn‘t recognize Eileen‘s scent as anything in particular.

Eileen turned to her then, and Lila noticed that her eyes were even lighter blue than her
own. To Lila, Eileen was a very beautiful and attractive person. This made her feel sad in
some way, but she didn‘t know why.

"You‘re awfully quiet,“ Eileen said, but it wasn‘t really criticism.

Lila gulped. "I‘m happy to be here,“ she said. "But I don‘t really know what to say.“ Eileen
smiled. "Yeah,“ she said. "I know what you mean.“ This made Lila feel even closer to Eileen.
Years later, when she was to look back on what happened that night, she would be amused by
thinking of Eileen as an older woman. But when you‘re fourteen, twenty is old! The wine
was starting to affect Lila, though she didn‘t make the association at the time. All she
knew was that she felt really mellow and warm inside. She associated this with the fact
that her most admired person was sitting next to her and that she had sought out HER
company, instead of the other way around.

"Like that wine?“ Eileen asked. She was standing now, pausing before making another
trip to the refrigerator.

But Lila hadn‘t drank that much of her glass and she declined a refill.

She watched Eileen as she sort of floated to the tiny ice box and she marveled at the way
Eileen‘s legs were so slender without any fat around the hips. Her hips were narrow, that was
true but there were girls in the camp already looking like women in their late thirties in the
fat department.

Eileen was back on the floor next to Lila before she knew it and Lila observed that the
minute Eileen‘s aura encompassed her she felt better right away. She took another drink of
her wine.

It tasted funny to her, but what it was doing to her head was another thing. She wished
she could spend the night in Eileen‘s cabin. She never wanted to go back to her tent again,
even though she knew she would have to.

A sudden movement to her right, and she noted that Eileen had set her glass of wine
down, this didn‘t strike Lila as unusual. She thought that Eileen was about to light another
cigarette. But Eileen put her arm around Lila at that point and kissed her.

It was a good thing that Lila had put her glass of wine down also, or she would have
dropped it all over the rug.

The kiss that Eileen was giving Lila was not a mushy, wet kiss. It was a close-mouthed kiss,
with her lips gently pressing on Lila‘s, but it sent a thrill racing through her body. It was
funny for Lila, looking back, how she hadn‘t even been surprised in one part of her brain. It
seemed very natural for her to kiss Eileen and she offered no protest.

Eileen‘s arms were around her now and the kiss seemed to go on forever. This was fine
with Lila who never wanted to lose the sensation Eileen‘s lips were imparting to Lila‘s
nervous system.

Then Eileen was pushing her back on the rug. Lila gave way beneath the superior
pressure of Eileen‘s strength, feeling as though a great soft cloud was enveloping her and
loving every second of it. Then she could feel Eileen‘s hands moving around her beasts. Lila
never even touched her own breasts, and to feel Eileen‘s hands touching this most intimate
part of her, sent a shiver through Lila. She was dressed in a thin T-shirt and shorts and Eileen‘s
touch went right through the thin fabric as though it wasn‘t even there.

Now Eileen‘s hands were underneath the thin shirt, her fingers playing with Lila‘s
braless tits. Lila began moaning, a strange sound, even to her ears. It seemed to Lila as
though a million sparks were going off in her frame, generating a heat unlike anything
she had ever experienced before.

Eileen‘s breath was coming in shorter gasps now, a panting sound, low and hoarse in her
throat.

She had mounted Lila now and was grinding her pelvis into her. The rhythm she used
was highly pleasant to Lila who began matching it with her own swiveling hips.

"Oh, Lila!“ Eileen was murmuring. Lila wanted to say Eileen‘s name also, but she didn‘t.
Everything was like a dream to her, and she felt that if she spoke, she would wake up to
realize none of this was true.

She put her arms around Eileen‘s slender back, pulling her closer to her own body,
wanting them to meld together as one.

Eileen was tugging on Lila‘s shorts now, pulling them down to reveal her bush of pubic
hairs.

Once that was accomplished, Eileen began moving down on Lila‘s body, going from
suckling each of her tits, to nuzzling her belly button and moving even lower still. Lila held
her breath. She didn‘t believe it possible that Eileen was going to kiss her THERE! But she
waited, her legs spread apart, her cunt feeling moist and juicy.

Then, before she even had time to imagine what was going to happen next, she felt
Eileen‘s wet tongue probing around between her tight cunt lips. Feeling them part and the
sudden nibble on her tiny clit, made Lila gasp with surprise and pleasure. She reached
down to hold Eileen‘s shining blonde hair in her hands, feeling her small ears, digging her
fingers into those holes.

Lila opened her eyes then, not daring to imagine what it would look like to see another
person‘s head between her thighs and sucking on her cunt. She liked the sight of this very
much. Her legs parted even further apart and she raised her knees so that all of her cunt
provided easy access to Eileen‘s lapping tongue.

"Eileen!“ Lila moaned. "That feels so NICE!“ Eileen didn‘t answer, but she murmured her
agreement and kept eating away at Lila‘s cunt.

Right then and there, Lila decided that getting her White Cap in swimming was going
to be a piece of cake. But she wouldn‘t try and fluff off on her qualifications. She would
swim her heart out for Eileen with as much devotion as Eileen‘s tongue was providing Lila‘s
cunt.

Wow! Lila thought. She never knew camp could be like this! She began wondering if
other girls did these kinds of things with each other and decided that they probably did. She
went through a mental list of the other campers, trying to figure out which ones ate each
other out and which ones didn‘t. Then she went mentally through the counselors. To Lila,
Eileen was the best-looking counselor in the camp, and the fact that she had chosen Lila to
seduce, made Lila feel closer than ever to the older woman.

She wondered if Eileen wanted her to kiss and lick her down there also, but if Eileen
wanted this from Lila, her busy mouth gave no indication. Lila sighed, feeling a
relaxation spread through her body like never before. All her strained and aching muscles
seemed to revive themselves under the expert administrations of Eileen‘s busy tongue,
and Lila squeezed harder on Eileen‘s short, blonde hair.

"Faster!“ she boldly urged. It seemed to Lila as though she was heading someplace she
had never been before and she was eager to get to this place that she would later realize
was called orgasm.

Eileen had Lila‘s thighs pushed back so far now, they were practically over her head. Lila
bucked her hips around, trying to keep up with Eileen‘s quicksilver tongue and her own
need to explode in climax.

"You‘re so sweet!“ Eileen murmured between licking and sucking on Lila‘s cunt. "You
taste so good!“

"Oh!“ Lila moaned. "Oh!“

And she began pumping her hips faster and faster. Something was happening in the
back of her head and the tips of her toes at the same time. It was as though one long electric
wire had been set humming with voltage and Lila knew that the wire would explode and fizz
out in that place between her legs where Eileen‘s tongue was lapping away.

A screeching sound went off in Lila‘s brain like the sound of a train being derailed. Her
hips were snapping so fast now and her juices were flowing so freely, she felt as though she
was being washed over a great dam. This sensation seemed to last for several minutes,
then Eileen‘s tongue was becoming painful to the young girl. She pushed Eileen‘s head
away, pleading that now it was beginning to hurt. Eileen stopped eating out Lila‘s cunt and
moved up quickly to plant a kiss on Lila‘s mouth. Lila could smell her own scent on Eileen‘s
breath and tongue, but it was not unpleasant to her at all. She threw her arms around Eileen
and hugged her as tight as she could.

"Oh!“ she gushed. "That was wonderful!“ Eileen smiled and lit a cigarette. She exhaled
the smoke carefully, never taking her eyes away from Lila‘s face. Lila lay there nude on the
rug no longer feeling self-conscious about her nakedness.

"Did anyone ever do that to you before?“ Eileen inquired.

Lila nodded her head, no.

"I didn‘t think so,“ Eileen said. "And I‘m glad I was the first.“

"I am too,“ Lila admitted. Now that it was over, she began to feel as though she should
leave.

She started to pull her clothes together.

"You can stay here tonight, if you want,“ Eileen offered. Lila hadn‘t protested that
arrangement at all and the two had slept in each other‘s arms until the alarm went off at
five-thirty and Lila went back to her tent.

For the rest of the summer, Eileen and Lila had been thicker than two peas in a pod.
Eileen instructed Lila in the art of concealment so that no one else at the camp
suspected their relationship as being anything other than the adoration a young
athlete usually had for her coach. And Eileen also instructed Lila in the arts of Sapphic love,
including the use of her vibrating dildo, so that by the time Lila had left the camp, she not
only had her White Cap, she also had a vast knowledge of how to make love to another
woman.

She had looked forward to returning to camp all during the following year, but her
father had said, no, she couldn‘t go, they couldn‘t afford it. Lila had taken a job in the local
diner, but all she met were truck drivers. She lived on the memory of Eileen and spent most of
her time daydreaming and trying to find someone to take her place in her heart.

Just as she was about to despair over ever finding anyone like the wonderful Eileen,
her boss‘s wife, Ann cornered her in the kitchen one day.

"I‘ve been watching you,“ Ann said. "There‘s something different about you,
compared to the other girls.“

She looked at Lila closely. Lila flushed. "I don‘t know what you mean,“ she stammered,
feeling ashamed already, as though she had a great guilty secret.

Ann was a big, buxom woman in her mid-thirties and she blocked Lila‘s exit to the dining
room with ease.

"You don‘t seem to bother with the truckers the way the other girls do,“ Ann said. "Don‘t
you like men?“

"Yes,“ Lila said. "But most of them are older than me.“

"That‘s true,“ Ann said, her eyes narrowing. "But you don‘t bother with the high school
boys either.“ Lila made a face without even thinking about it. "Ugh!“ she said suddenly.
"They make me sick!“ She looked at Ann with alarm. Ann had a son in high school and Lila
hoped that she hadn‘t spoken out of turn. But Ann just laughed. "I know what you mean,“ she
said. "I used to feel that way myself.“ She looked at her watch. "Do you have a ride home
later, when you get off?“ she asked Lila.

Lila who normally walked the two miles to her house shook her head.

"I‘ll give you a ride then,“ Ann said matter of factly. "We can talk.“ Then, as though
feeling she had gone too far, she added, "I like to get to know the girls who work in my
diner, if you know what I mean.“ Lila wasn‘t exactly sure what Ann was talking about at all,
but she began feeling that peculiar sensation that occurred to her whenever she and
Eileen had been close. For the rest of the day she was distracted in her work, forgetting
orders and giving sloppy service. Normally Ann would have been right on her ass for this
kind of behavior, but she spent the rest of the afternoon staring at Lila with a peculiar
smile on her face.

Later, when Lila sat off to one side of the dining room where all the waitresses took
then-breaks, counting her meager tips, Ann came up to her again.

"Ready?“ she asked.

Lila looked up at the tall, buxom woman and got up from the booth. "Yes,“ she said. The
two of them left the diner together, getting into Ann‘s Cadillac and driving off towards
the lake where Lila lived.

As they drove along, mainly in silence, Lila wondered about Ann and her husband, Gene.
Gene did most of the cooking in the diner and he was always sweating from the hot grill.
He was a small, fat man and Lila used to wonder how it was that a tall attractive woman
like Ann had ever gotten married to him. Maybe she got knocked up, Lila thought to
herself, thinking of their son, Pete, a notorious high school jock.

"You know my son, Pete, don‘t you?“ Ann asked as they cruised around the lake.

"Sure,“ Lila said. "He‘s probably one of the most popular boys in school.“ And also one
of the biggest fuckers, she added silently to herself.

"I wish he would go with someone quiet like you,“ Ann was saying. "The girls he goes out
with all seem to be so fast!“

Lila said nothing. She wasn‘t about to explain to her boss‘s wife that Pete wouldn‘t give
the time of day to a girl who wouldn‘t put out for him.

"Are we close to your house?“ Ann wanted to know.

Lila looked out the window. "We‘re almost there,“ she said. They had lived on the edge
of the lake for years, though most of their neighbors only came up for the summer.

"We have a cottage around here,“ Ann was saying. "We hardly ever get a chance to use it
though. The diner keeps both Gene and myself busy.“

"How come Pete doesn‘t work in the diner and help you out?“ Lila asked suddenly.

Ann gave a short, bitter laugh. "Are you kidding?“ she asked. "He doesn‘t know the
meaning of work!“

"He‘s lucky!“ Lila said.

"You mean he‘s lazy!“ Ann said. Then, suddenly: "Would you like to see our cottage?“ If
there was one thing in the world Lila never looked forward to doing, that was going home,
so she said: "Sure. Why not?“ Ann cut sharply off the road then, driving the car onto a dirt
driveway that was hardly visible to anyone who didn‘t know where they were going. As the
car bumped around on the rocks and dry, dusty surface, Lila began to wonder why Ann was
so intent on showing her their cottage. Maybe she never gets a chance to go there and is
looking for any kind of excuse, Lila thought. But she too was looking for an excuse for
Ann‘s interest in her, dreading the truth.

She must know I‘m a lesbian, Lila thought. Maybe she‘s trying to set me up so she can
fire me. She decided to be careful. After all, she knew Ann couldn‘t be a lesbian. She was
married and had a son!

Ann had parked the car now by a pretty cottage that sat forlornly by the lake, missing
its human occupants, or maybe happy that no one lived inside its walls.

Lila followed Ann into the cottage that smelled musty and unused.

"Whew!“ Ann said. She began opening a few windows. Lila helped her. "This is really
nice,“ she told Ann. "I wouldn‘t mind having a place like this.“

"You can come here whenever you like,“ Ann said generously. "I‘ll show you where we
hide the key.“

For Lila, who had absolutely no privacy in her house, the offer of the cottage was like
a million dollars dropping out of the sky into her lap.

"Gee!“ she said. "Thanks a lot!“

"I told Pete the same thing,“ Ann said ruefully, "but I think the only time he comes here is
when he‘s trying to fuck a girl.“

When Lila heard Ann, (an adult as far as she was concerned), use a word like fuck, it
shocked her. Not that Lila only thought, kids spoke like that, but she knew parents and adults
had their own code of language just as she and her friends did.

Ann looked at Lila closely to see how her use of the word, ‚fuck‘ had struck her. When she
saw the startled look on Lila‘s face, she laughed.

"Have a seat,“ she said, indicating the couch. "I‘ll make us some ice tea.“ She went into
the kitchen and found the necessary ingredients for their beverage and returned shortly
with two tall glasses.

Lila gulped her tea, keeping her eyes lowered in order to avoid Ann‘s piercing gaze.

"Yes,“ Ann was saying, "You‘re different than the other girls. You remind me of myself
many years ago. I only hope that you escape this hick town. There are other worlds out there
you know,“ and she lapsed into silence.

"What do you mean?“ Lila asked. She hoped her father wouldn‘t beat the shit out of her
when she got home, but she wanted to learn more about Ann‘s intentions for her.

Ann began talking then, telling Lila about her own girlhood, wanting to be close to a
teacher she had. In high school, but getting raped by Gene instead. Lila gasped. It was
beyond her wildest fantasies that Gene could get it up, let alone rape someone!

"I‘ve always wanted someone tender,“ Ann was saying. "Someone that would
appreciate me as a woman.“

This statement made Lila feel sorry for Ann and she vowed that as soon as she could, she
was splitting this hick town.

Now Ann was moving closer to Lila on the couch, letting her arm brush casually
against Lila‘s own. Lila knew what was coming, and though Ann wasn‘t as beautiful as
Eileen, she still was very attractive with her bit tits and kind eyes.

Maybe I should make a move, Lila thought. After all,, Eileen had taught her well. She
brought her arms around Ann and gave her a hug, nuzzling her face against Ann‘s ample tits
and sighing.

Ann‘s arms immediately went around Lila as she pulled her close to her breasts. "Oh,
Lila,“ she sighed. "You‘re such a nice girl!“

Lila smiled to herself. She had a tremendous desire to suck on Ann‘s big tits and she
began stroking them, pulling them underneath Ann‘s blouse towards her lips. Ann undid
her blouse then and thrust the nearest tit into Lila‘s mouth.

Lila felt like she imagined Eileen had felt with her that first time. Now Lila knew what
power taking the role of the aggressor gave the seducer and she liked that feeling very
much.

She doubted if anyone had ever made a pass at Ann before. She knew that Ann had
probably stared at many a waitress with longing but had been afraid to make a move. Lila
would run this whole show, she decided, and she set about the pleasant task of Ann‘s
seduction with all the fervor of horny youth.

Ann was moaning now, her head thrown back on the couch and her mouth open. Sweat
was beginning to pop out on her brow and her head swung from side to side on the old
couch.

Ann was wearing a skirt that made it easy for Lila to stick her hand up underneath it. To
her surprise, Ann wasn‘t wearing any underpants. Lila felt the warm moistness of Ann‘s
hot cunt and she dug her fingers inside the swollen lips and began to massage Ann‘s
throbbing clit.

Ann spread her legs apart and seized Lila‘s hand. Covering it feverishly with her own,
she urged Lila‘s hand on faster and faster.

Lila‘s head was spinning. She wanted all of Ann at once. Ann‘s blouse was open now and
Lila had no problem sucking away on her tits, but she wanted to taste Ann‘s cunt as well.
She moved down from her tits and knelt on the floor in front of the couch.

Ann was carrying on something fierce now, her babbling not making much sense to
Lila, but her intent quite clear. As for Lila, the strangeness of this new cunt presented a
challenge to her. She noted the curly black hairs that surrounded Ann‘s twat, how unlike
they were from Eileen‘s blonde kinky ones, but the odor was similar.

She stuck her tongue in between Ann‘s moist slit and began licking away at her snatch
like it was the finest dessert. Ann moaned and grabbed Lila‘s head with both her hands,
crying almost in her pleasure.

Bolts of electricity seem to course through her body She could never get Gene to eat her
out. Hints, outright pleading, nothing would get Gene to comply. And here was this
wonderful child licking away at her snatch as though it was the most natural thing in the
world! Right then and there, Ann decided that she was in love with Lila. There was nothing
she wouldn‘t do for this terrific girl and later, when life had returned to normal for both of
them, Ann had been true to her intent.

She gave Lila the best section to work in the diner, she protected her from her
husband and the other girls and she supplemented her income by money she stole from
her husband. Their affair had continued the whole summer, with Ann taking the
initiative on many occasions, indulging Lila with her generous tongue and large tits.

As for Lila, her only regret in eventually leaving town was that she would miss Ann and
what Ann had taught her. Lila learned to love being taken care of and spoiled. She liked
having the use of Ann‘s car and easy access to her money, but Lila wanted more out of life.
She knew that their affair couldn‘t go on forever, and she didn‘t want it to. She wanted
someone closer to her own age. Someone that would indulge and take care of her. When she
had at last made it to the Village, she had found that someone with Chris. But she still wasn‘t
happy.

CHAPTER SIX

Chris had taken her double-headed dildo out of the night table drawer now and had
inserted one end up her cunt and the other end up Lila‘s.

It had taken some time to get Lila used to this sensation of fucking someone while
getting fucked at the same time. Now she liked it very much and heaved her bucking hips
into Chris‘s pelvis as though her cunt was battery-operated.

The long, thick, rubbery cock was slippery with their juices and moved easily in and out
of both their cunts.

Chris was on top of Lila, as that‘s the way she liked it. Sometimes, she let Lila get on top
of her, but this always made her feel awkward and she didn‘t like it. SHE wanted to run the
show and taking the upper position in their fucking assured her that she was on top in
their relationship. But inside, Chris felt her hold on Lila was slipping.

It wasn‘t only because of what Lila had done the other night either. There was something
about Lila that Chris didn‘t trust. Inside, when she was being honest with herself, she knew
that Lila was only marking time with her, until she could escape to someone else.

Every time Chris thought that would happen, her chest would constrict with fear which
she would convert to rage, accusing Lila of everything under the sun.

Lila usually laughed at Chris‘s tirades and this only served to drive Chris even further up a
tree.

Take THAT! Chris was thinking as she pushed the cock deeper inside Lila‘s cunt. But Lila
just pushed her end of the cock harder into Chris‘s box and Chris felt as though they were
playing tug of war. She stopped heaving the cock inside Lila‘s cunt and yanked it out
instead.

It escaped from Lila‘s cunt with a loud popping sound, but Lila didn‘t complain. Then
Chris reached for the remains of the chocolate pudding that was now melting on the night
table. Smearing the goo around Lila‘s cunt, she carefully licked it off as though she was a
mother cat taking care of her kitten. Lila liked this much better. She fell into a kind of
dreamlike state, fondling Chris‘s hair, but thinking about Carol.

It had been Chris‘s idea that she get together with Carol. Meeting her on the street had
just been a lucky break, though Chris had instructed her to shop in that store.

Ellen had approached Chris with Elizabeth‘s plan and Chris had overcome her feelings
towards Ellen for the sake of easy money. She didn‘t know Carol, had never seen her to her
knowledge, so Carol was as remote to her as a person could be. Lila had gone along with
the plan because it sounded like kicks to her, but Chris had failed in the first place by not
photographing the two of them that morning she and Carol had made love. This had filled
Lila with contempt for Chris and she found her sympathies going more and more towards
Carol.

If there was one thing Lila had never had in her eternal quest for the ideal partner, it was
someone like Carol. Now, as Chris lay between her legs, eating out her cunt, Lila pretended
that it was Carol and the two of them were living together.

Chris sensed a remoteness on Lila‘s part but she didn‘t know what caused it. Rather than
worry about it, she threw herself into her love-making as though knowing their time
together would end soon.

While Chris was making love to Lila, Lila was already planning on seeing Carol. In fact,
Chris did have to go to work later in the restaurant and Lila was going to look for Carol.

Then, despite her fantasies, her cunt began to contract in the throes of orgasm. She
held on tightly to Chris‘s head, biting her lip to avoid crying out Carol‘s name. They were still
for awhile, until Chris reluctantly disengaged herself from between Lila‘s legs and went to
the bathroom. Returning in a few minutes dressed for work, she approached Lila on the
bed and kissed her goodbye.

"Don‘t wait up for me,“ she told Lila.

Lila didn‘t say anything. She was wondering what Chris‘s reaction would be when she
returned to the empty apartment.

After the door had closed behind Chris, Lila stared at it for a long time. It was her hope
that she would never see Chris again. This made her feel sad also, for Chris, despite her
violent temper had been good to her.

Lila then went into the bathroom, showered and dressed. Going to the phone she dialed
Carol and told her she wanted to see her They settled on a place to meet and hung up.

Carol stared at the phone, dazed. She couldn‘t believe that Lila was making a move
towards her for a change, but she didn‘t want to question its validity.

She practically ran to the coffee shop that Lila had instructed her to meet her at. Lila
was already there. Carol slipped into the booth next to her and they sat there, staring at each
other for a while, until Lila smiled.

A waitress came over and took their order and then Lila began speaking. She quickly
told Carol about Chris‘s cooperation with Ellen in Carol‘s mother‘s scheme. She finished
with the suggestion that they go away together. "Anywhere,“ she urged. "I‘m sick of the
Village.“

Carol just gaped at Lila. She must care for me, she thought. But having her dream come
true with such startling reality threw her. It was too good to be true.

"Can you go?“ she asked Lila slowly. "I mean what if Chris comes after us?“ Lila looked at
Carol scornfully. "Got cold feet?“ she asked. It had never occurred to her that Carol might
hesitate.

"No,“ Carol said, throwing money down to cover their check. "Let‘s get out of here.“ They
went back to Carol‘s place to get her car and a few things. "Help yourself to any of my
clothes,“ Carol invited, noting that Lila had only the clothes on her back.

Lila merrily packed a suitcase full of Carol‘s things and the two of them soon found
themselves roaring through the Lincoln Tunnel.

"Where did you want to go?“ Carol asked Lila gaily. She had the means to go anywhere
and having Lila with her made the whole world seem their playground.

"Why don‘t we go to California?“ Lila asked. She had never been to California and the
idea appealed to her.

Carol thought how her father had his business in San Francisco and how surprised and
pleased he would be to see her out there.

"I wish you had said something earlier,“ Carol said. "We could have flown!“ Lila laughed.
"We can still fly,“ she said. "Just drive to Newark and well park the car!“

"Great!“ Carol said. She flew towards Newark, glad that she had remembered her credit
cards. They left the Mercedes in the monthly parking lot, just in case they were gone for
awhile, and Carol bought both their tickets.

As they sat in the lounge waiting for their flight, Carol kept glancing at Lila. Lila had
seemed to change. She seemed more open and happier, more like the night when Carol had
first seen her in the Cat.

"I‘m sorry you have to pay for everything,“ Lila said as Carol laid out the money for their
second round of drinks. "I guess you kind of bombed out with me, seeing that I don‘t have
any bucks.“

She took a sip of her Tom Collins. Carol decided to end this bullshit once and for all.

"Look,“ she told Lila. "Let‘s not worry about the money aspect, okay? I‘m sure if the shoe
was on the other foot you would do the same for me.“

That kind of ended that and Lila made a note to herself that Carol was uptight about the
fact that she had money. Lila decided to drop it for good.

"The only thing that concerns me about this lark,“ Carol admitted, "is not the money,
but my job!“

In her joy at being alone with Lila, she had forgotten completely that she was
supposed to go to work Monday. Maybe she could call her writer and tell him that her father
was sick and she had to split to San Francisco.

"I‘ll be right back,“ she told Lila abruptly, going to the area marked Public Phones.

Her copywriter promised to tell their creative director and Carol told him where the
layouts were on the project they had worked on together. When she returned to the
lounge, she couldn‘t see Lila.

Panic flooded Carol. She had been feeling so satisfied that things were working out for
them that she had to guard against taking Lila for granted. Fighting off her fear, Carol sat
back down, hoping that Lila had only gone to the ladies room.

She was rewarded in a few minutes when Lila strolled back into the lounge, looking
refreshed. Carol noticed how other people stared at the striking Lila and it made her feel
proud knowing that they were together. She could hardly wait until they got to San
Francisco and were safely ensconced in the biggest bed she could find.

"Flight 147, TWA to San Francisco is now loading at Gate 5,“ came the smooth voice of
the woman announcer.

The girls gulped the rest of their drinks and headed towards the loading ramp. Lila‘s
heart was pounding. It was amazing to her how her life was changing so quickly just
because she had made the break from Chris. But every time she thought of Chris, her heart
skipped a bit. She would never feel safe from Chris, she decided. Chris just wouldn‘t let go.

Lila remembered easily how their first few weeks together had been filled with Chris‘s
tirades against Ellen, and even though Lila thought Chris was going through this for her
benefit, it still frightened her.

But once she was seated next to Carol on the almost deserted plane, she felt better.

After the stewardess had taken their drink order, Carol asked Lila. "Do you think she‘s
gay?“

This was a game Carol and Lila both enjoyed playing. To them every girl they met either
was gay actively, or didn‘t know she was!

"Yeah,“ Lila said. "Didn‘t you see the way she looked at us?“ Carol nodded. "We‘re not so
obvious as you and Chris would be, though,“ she told Lila, watching her reaction to
Chris‘s name.

Lila laughed. "Shit!“ she said. "It was hard not to look like a couple of lezzies in HER
company!“

The stewardess came back with their drinks.

"You two sisters?“ she asked them.

Carol and Lila laughed. "No,“ Carol said. "Why?“

"I didn‘t think so,“ the stewardess said. She didn‘t seem to be in any hurry to leave. Carol
looked at her short brown hair and the way her ears had tiny button earrings inside them.

"Any fun places in Frisco where two girls can have a good time?“ she asked.

The stewardess‘s thin lips stretched into a smile. "Depends on what kind of a good time
you‘re looking for,“ she said. "Like a singles bar you mean?“

"Not exactly,“ Lila said. She gazed unflinchingly into the stewardess‘s eyes. The stew,
Tina, got the message.

"There‘s a place me and my friends go,“ she said, looking around at the other
passengers, most of whom were sleeping. "You two might like it. I‘ll write it down for you.“

She disappeared to get some paper and Carol nudged Lila. "Let‘s ask her if she wants to
come with us,“ she suggested. "It‘ll be fun!“

"Sure,“ Lila said. "Maybe the three of us can get it on!“

"Hey!“ Carol protested. "You‘re not with me more than a couple of hours and already
you‘re looking to make it with someone else!“

"Well, you‘ll be there!“ Lila insisted. "It‘s not like I want to go to bed with her alone!“ Tina
came back then and slipped a piece of paper to Carol. Carol read the address and showed it
to Lila. "What are you doing after your flight?“ she asked the stewardess.

Tina yawned, covering her perfect teeth with her hand. "I‘m going to sleep!“ she said. "I
really went through the mill last night!“

"Why don‘t you sleep with ... I mean, why don‘t you come with us?“ Lila invited. "What
hotel are you staying at?“

Tina told them and said she would think about it. Then she had to attend to another
passenger. Carol thought it would be a good idea if they got some sleep and Lila agreed.
The drinks, the excitement and the altitude were catching up to them now and they fell
asleep holding hands.

Ron, the Steward walked down the aisles, sniffing primly as he saw Carol and Lila
sleeping, their heads resting on each other‘s shoulders. Though Ron was homosexual
himself, he didn‘t like girls at all, even gay girls. He had noticed Tina yapping with these two
and he disliked her more than ever.

She was coming towards him now in the narrow aisle and he moved to one side with
distaste as though hating to even touch her.

"Fuck you!“ Tina hissed. She got along with most faggots, but Ron was so nasty and she
found him impossible. He also had a big mouth.

"Lezzie!“ Ron sniffed and continued down the aisle. There was no way Tina could
assume it was talking about her or the two sleeping girls, but she felt like cutting his balls
off. One of these days, her fantasy went, she was going to push him out the Emergency Exit
door and that would be the end of Ron!

Tina sat down in an empty seat by the galley and lit a cigarette. She was tired, but she
was toying with the idea of going off with the two girls who were now sleeping. She
especially liked the one called Lila. Lila reminded Tina of the chick she had been with last
night when she was layed over in Newark.

It was hard for Tina to determine how tight Carol and Lila were, but she had the
suspicion that Lila would be open for anything. Snuffing out her cigarette, Tina tried to
get a few winks of sleep herself. It would be two more hours before they would land and this
late flight was quiet.

She hated flying days. Businessmen were constantly pinching her ass and coming
onto her and it was all Tina could do to control herself from hauling off and smashing the
shit out of their dumb faces.

Last week she had a passenger that was so obtuse he even sought her out in the
airport, following her like a horny dog intent on slamming his cock in her cunt.

Tina had almost been forced to call the airport police, but she didn‘t want to make a
scene. Finally the guy had split and Tina thought that was the end of that until he came up
to her in the hotel lobby.

"Don‘t be so hard to get!“ the handsome dude had said, flashing her a dazzling smile.

"Look,“ Tina had countered. "I‘m not interested, okay?“

"Sure you are,“ he had insisted. "You stews are all the same. Big bitches in the sky but a
piece of cake once you land.“ Tina silently swore at the girl who had written that Coffee, Tea
or Me book for the thousandth time. The myth of the horny stew had haunted her ever since
she got her wings.

"That‘s what you think, buster,“ she had shot back.

"Come on, honey, you‘re cute,“ the clod said. "Let‘s have a drink together.“

"If you don‘t get away from me, I‘m going to call the security guards,“ Tina said. Her
eyes flashed at him.

But he laughed and tried to pull her by the arm towards the bar. Tina had hauled off and
slapped him hard across the face then and the sound of her palm on his facial flesh made
such a huge sound, people turned to stare.

It was his turn now to send a look of hatred at Tina. "What are you?“ he had raged. "A
fucking lesbian?!“

"Yeah, you‘ve got it,“ Tina hissed and stomped off to the desk.

Just thinking about him got Tina too agitated to sleep. She decided to take a piss
instead. Making her way towards the john, she noted the Occupied sign and swore
under her breath.

She hadn‘t noticed anyone going in there and wondered which of her passengers was
causing her this inconvenience.

Just then, the door opened and Lila came out. She froze when she saw Tina and Tina
smiled.

"Hi honey!“ Tina said. "Now that I know it was you, I‘m not so pissed off!“ Lila smiled. She
could feel her desire for Tina growing between her legs and knew that she could never wait
to get to San Francisco before satisfying it.

"Sorry,“ she said, but she made no move to let Tina in the John.

"Is your friend still sleeping?“ Tina asked carefully. Lila nodded. "You two been together
long?“ Tina wanted to know.

"Not very long,“ Lila admitted. She didn‘t want to blow her scene with Carol, yet she
didn‘t want to discourage her attraction to Tina either.

"I‘ve decided to join you two,“ Tina told her. "I know how it is to be alone in a strange
city.“

Hearing that Tina definitely would be with them later brought Lila to her senses. "Well
see you later,“ she said then, and moved out from the entrance to the John. Tina gave her a
warm, meaningful smile and winked. "Glad to hear it " she said. Then she was gone.

Lila walked back to her seat feeling both guilty and excited at the same time. She looked
at the sleeping Carol with a feeling of affection. Once she was seated by her again, Lila
forgot Tina. She wondered about her sexuality before dropping off to doze again. It
seemed as though she was animalistic in her desire for each new cunt that came down the
pike of her short life.

The Fasten Seat Belts sign came on then and Lila woke up Carol. Carol struggled into
consciousness, trying to remember where the fuck she was. She stared at Lila‘s face and
then it all came back. She woke up instantly then, eager to share her friend‘s company.

As they were debarking, Tina said more than she normally would to a departing
passenger.

"I‘ll be out in front,“ she told them. "Get your luggage and meet me there.“ It didn‘t
escape Carol that Tina had looked meaningfully at Lila. She could feel her insecurity
asserting its ugly head and she fought against imagining that the whole world was in love
with Lila as she was.

True to her word, Tina was waiting for them. She led the way to her car and in a bit the
three of them were driving up the El Camino Real towards San Francisco.

"I‘m domiciled here,“ she told them, "so we might as well go to my place first. I‘ll see that
you check into your hotel later.“

Both Carol and Lila were content to let Tina direct their evening, though Carol was
eager to call her father and let him know that they were there. Maybe he would invite both
Lila and her to stay at his place and they wouldn‘t have to put up with the cold
impersonality of a hotel.

As for Lila, she was hoping that Tina would invite them to stay at her apartment. She
was sure that Tina‘s apartment would be nice, hopefully a high-rise with a great view of the
city and the bridge. It was. Tina had thrown the door open with a flourish, announcing, "Hi
Home!“

"You girls want to freshen up a bit, go ahead,“ she invited. "I‘ve got two Johns.“

"Great,“ Lila was quick to say. She disappeared with Tina. Carol spotted the phone and
went to ask Tina for permission to call her father. She heard the two of them giggling
behind the bathroom door and rapped teasingly on it, trying to hide the worry in her
voice.

"Hey you two!“ she yelled. "What the hell is going on in there?“ Tina opened the door
quickly, her face flushed. Carol looked in to see Lila all stripped out of her clothes, getting
ready to take a shower. The sight of her nude body sent quivers through Carol, but she asked
Tina about the phone instead. Tina was only too happy to deflect Carol‘s attention away
from the bathroom and was quick to tell her to feel free to call. "Anywhere,“ she added.
"Don‘t worry about the tolls.“ Carol went back into the living room feeling worse than ever.
Well, she decided philosophically, better to get it on with Tina and Lila at the same time
than to leave the two of them alone! Her father‘s deep voice was heavy with pleasure when
he learned that Carol was in his city.

"You two should stay with me,“ he said. "It‘s foolish, to blow your money on a hotel bill.
Not,“ he added, "that you don‘t have it!“

And he laughed loudly.

"I‘ll see what Lila has to say about it,“ Carol said. She explained to her father that they had
met Tina and were at her apartment right now.

"No kidding!“ her father said. "I know her!“

"You do?“ Carol asked.

"Honey, when you‘ve flown back and forth as many times as I have, you get to know them
all.“

"Oh,“ Carol said. She wondered if her father knew Tina was a lesbian.

"She‘s a cold fish,“ her lather went on to say, and Carol thought ruefully to herself that
Tina was acting anything BUT cold around Lila!

She gave Phil her address and phone number and told them they were going out. Or, at
least she HOPED they were going out. Phil said for her to let him know what their plans
would be and hung up.

Carol went back towards the bathroom, hoping to catch the two of them doing
something, but Lila was drying herself off, alone.

"Tina‘s getting dressed,“ she informed Carol. "Why don‘t you shower?“ Carol didn‘t
answer right away. She put her arms around her beloved Lila and hugged her. But Lila
recoiled slightly.

"What‘s the matter?“ Carol asked, hurt.

"Nothing,“ Lila answered lightly. "It‘s just that I‘m all keyed up. I have to unwind.“ Carol
accepted this excuse up front but inside she felt that already Lila was growing tired of her.
She showered and joined both Tina and Lila in the living room. They were dancing. Carol
went over to the bar and mixed herself a drink. Coming to San Francisco didn‘t seem like
such a good idea after all! She had half a mind to fly back to Newark and leave Lila here
alone. The only thing that prevented her from doing this was the knowledge that even
without any money, Lila would make up just fine. Like a bandit, actually! "Come on!“ Tina
invited, gesturing that Carol should join them in their dance.

Why not? Carol thought. The three of them would be dancing around in bed later
anyway!

As she began to get into dancing with the other two, Carol began to relax. She was
having a good time now and regretted thinking that she should go back to New York. Tina
was a good dancer and she was able to handle both girls as partners with ease.

They were all drinking wine now and smoking grass and the idea of leaving the safety of
the apartment was less appealing than it had been earlier. As a matter of fact, Carol was
content to stay right where she was. At least for this night.

While they sat around on the living room floor, Carol suddenly remembered her father.
Maybe if she invited Phil over he would see that Tina wasn‘t such a cold fish after all. And, if
the two of them got it on together, that would deflect Tina‘s interest from Lila.

"Do you ever make it with guys?“ she blurted, emboldened by the wine and grass.

Tina didn‘t take offence. "Sometimes,“ she said. "When I need the bucks.“

"You mean you fuck for money!“ Lila has squealed like a little kid. "Heavy!“

"Mind if I invite my father here?“ Carol asked. Tina shrugged. "Not at all,“ she said. "That
might be a gas!“ Carol stumbled to the phone and in a few minutes her father had promised
to join them.

Now Carol really felt relaxed. With her father on the premises, who knew what would
happen? Maybe for old times‘ sake, she, Carol, might even fuck him. That would get her over
her hang-up with him once and for all!

Smiling to herself over the idea of fucking her father, Carol was startled to hear the
door bell ringing a few minutes later.

"Is that Phil already?“ Tina asked, jumping to her feet and going to the inter-com.

"I guess he lives near here,“ Carol said.

"Maybe he even lives in the building?“ Lila giggled. Carol shot her an annoyed look. She
couldn‘t explain it, but she was so pissed off over the obvious attraction that Lila felt
towards Tina, that Carol wanted to hurt her.

Tina had opened the door now and Carol glanced up to see the handsome Phil framed in
the doorway. Carol introduced everyone and made fresh drinks. Phil sat on the couch
easily, his thighs parted slightly, a bemused look on his face. So, this was his daughter the
lesbian in action! He was surprised that it excited more than repulsed him and he hoped
that they would all make it together. He would love to watch!

If Tina was attracted to Phil, she gave no outward indication of it, but was merely
polite in her disinterest. As for Phil, he had already decided if there was one thing he was
going to do that evening, it was fuck the living bejesus out of the aloof Tina. He got off the
couch and went up to her. Taking her empty glass from her hand, he said: "Relax honey. Let
me wait on you for a change!“

Tina liked that right away. At last, she thought, a man who realizes how fucking hard we
work on those damn planes!

CHAPTER SEVEN

When Chris returned from work to the empty apartment, her rage knew no bounds. She
instantly suspected Ellen as being behind Lila‘s absence and wasted no time in going
to Ellen‘s apartment.

"Where the fuck is she?“ Chris demanded, pushing past the startled Ellen and peering
around the apartment.

"Who?“ Ellen asked in genuine ignorance.

"You know damn well who the fuck I‘m talking about!“ Chris shouted. "Now where is
she?“

Ellen, who was dressed in her nightgown, and in fact had been sleeping when Chris
rang her bell, stared sleepily at Chris.

"I don‘t know who you‘re talking about,“ she said coldly. "And furthermore, you have a
hell of a nerve barging in here like this!“

Without even thinking twice about it, Chris hauled off and slapped Ellen across the face.

With a sharp cry, Ellen‘s hand flew to her mouth and her fingers were met with a sticky
trickle of blood.

The sight of blood excited Chris even further. There were so many things about Ellen
that Chris hated and feared and her rage was directed against all women like Ellen, rather
than just Ellen.

"I m talking about Lila,“ she snapped. "She‘s gone and you know it.“ Ellen made a
sudden move then and Chris thought she was going for her whip.

"No you don‘t!“ she yelled, leaping on Ellen and pinning her to the floor. Ellen began
to struggle beneath Chris, but she knew she was overpowered.

"I swear to God I don‘t know where she is,“ she cried. "Please! Get off of me!“ Feeling the
crushed Ellen beneath her, drove Chris to desire her. But her desire was so confused and
mixed up with her hatred, she was determined to maim Ellen forever. She would bite her
clit off and then see how Ellen would function in the high class gay circles she ran in!
Panting heavily, Chris raised the top part of her frame and peered down into the sobbing,
yet still beautiful face of Ellen. She wanted to spit in that face, yet kiss it at the same time.

As for Ellen, the presence of Chris was a nightmare. The entire time she had lived with
her, Ellen had never lost this vague fear of the strong country girl.

"You‘re hurting me,“ she protested, moving painfully around underneath Chris‘s
weight.

"Tough shit,“ Chris said. She was convinced that Ellen was telling the truth when she said
that she didn‘t know where Lila was, but she wasn‘t content to leave it at that.

She thrust her pelvis into Ellen‘s hips.

"Remind you of anything?“ she asked.

Despite herself and her unfortunate position, Ellen felt herself becoming
aroused. It was always like this when she just woke up. Maybe if she let Chris make love to
her she would leave her alone.

"Yes,“ she said in this little girl voice, "it reminds me of when we were lovers.“ Chris
listened carefully for traces of sarcasm in Ellen‘s tone, but to her ears Ellen sounded
sincere.

"Miss me, huh?“ Chris asked, bringing her mouth to Ellen‘s ear and blowing little gusts
of hot air inside.

Ellen‘s insides were beginning to melt. Having Chris eat her out would be most
pleasant!

"Yes,“ she said, using again that small voice that always seemed to soothe the violent
Chris.

Chris brought her mouth around to Ellen‘s neck and began sucking on the soft folds of
skin, hickey-fashion. Ellen had always enjoyed this, though not the marks it usually left.
Her arms went around Chris‘s back.

Shit! She thought to herself. If Elizabeth could see her imprisoned under Chris like this
she would probably drop her from her social list like a hot potato!

Thinking of Elizabeth made Ellen determined to extricate herself from this whole
Carol mess. In fact, Ellen vowed, when Chris left she would call Carol.

Now Chris was forcing Ellen‘s bruised mouth open with her tongue. Though it was
painful to kiss Chris, Ellen disguised this fact and flicked her tongue inside her former
lover‘s mouth.

Chris took encouragement from this action on the part of Ellen and looked eagerly
towards going down on her in order to bite her clit off. She brought one of her hands out
from behind Ellen‘s back and began fondling her tits, squeezing it slowly, bringing the
nipple to a sharp pointy head.

Ellen‘s nightgown was in shreds now and Chris began sucking on Ellen‘s tits. So great
was her pleasure in doing this, she almost forgot her anger at Ellen and her rage over
losing track of Lila.

Thinking of Lila made her decide to go to the Cat later. And when she got through with
Lila, it would be to Lila‘s advantage to leave the city of New York!

Ellen was also getting into the swing of things with Chris. She‘s just like a big,
demented child! Ellen thought. Motherly feelings coursed through the barren woman
and she moved her body around with pleasure underneath Chris.

Chris relaxed to the extent that she allowed Ellen to lie on her side for a bit. This gave
Chris the chance to squeeze Ellen‘s ass, one of her favorite things. Tonight she really
squeezed her buns, hoping to leave finger marks on her precious skin.

Ellen didn‘t protest, though she resented the roughness of Chris‘s touch. If I can just
put up with her a while longer, she thought to herself, she‘ll eat me out to orgasm and I‘ll be
through with the cretin.

It was odd how the two of them, involved in the act of love, were thinking such hateful
thoughts. Such was the treachery most people hid from each other.

"Eat me,“ Ellen was pleading in Chris‘s ear. "Let me feel your tongue down there, like we
used to do!“

You‘re going to feel a lot more than my tongue down there, Chris vowed to herself. But
the idea of licking out her ex-lover‘s cunt had her aroused as well.

She slid down Ellen‘s body quickly, nosing her way towards Ellen‘s cunt, her eyes
wearing a glazed expression as though her lust was all she was thinking about.

Ellen felt the first stab of Chris‘s tongue and she relaxed completely. She lifted the
short strands of Chris‘s hair lazily, letting her mind take off to pleasant thoughts. Maybe she
should try and work out her differences with Chris after all? They weren‘t that bad together,
now that Ellen thought about it. They had had a lot of good times together, and though
Ellen was enjoying her freedom, she missed having one special person to feel close to.

The model that she had been caught in bed with had proved a great disappointment to
Ellen. She was vain and self-centered, but Ellen had forgiven her because she was so
beautiful. Maybe Ellen would be better off with the ordinary-looking Chris who could be
as faithful as a dog. Ellen thrust her hips high into Chris‘s face to show her how much she
enjoyed her familiar tongue.

Chris was so lost in eating out Ellen‘s cunt that she almost forgot she had planned on
biting her clit off. Remembering it suddenly, she had to think back to the way Ellen had
treated her towards the end when they were living together. Otherwise, she couldn‘t
arouse herself to that state of anger necessary for such an act of mutilation.

Aside from beating the shit out of Chris with the whip and her act of unfaithfulness
with the model, there was the day by day insulting treatment that Ellen had heaped on
her. The verbal abuse and how Ellen most of the time had made Chris feel little more than
like a dog that was around to service her sexual needs.

Like the time when Chris had gone to meet Ellen‘s big Park Avenue friend, Elizabeth.
Chris may have been inarticulate in many ways, but she knew when she was being put
down and insulted and here, in Elizabeth‘s apartment, she had felt like the butt of a private
joke between the two women.

"Where on earth is Emerson, New Jersey?“ Elizabeth had asked in a high, mocking
tone. "I‘ve never heard of it!“ she added, as though that was enough to prove it didn‘t exist.

Chris had stumbled out that it wasn‘t far from Hackensack which brought new peals of
laughter tumbling from Elizabeth‘s bright red mouth.

"Hackensack!“ she had squealed. "Isn‘t that where that Italian singer, Frank whatisname
is from?“

"No,“ Chris had said. "Sinatra‘s from Hoboken.“

"Hoboken!“ Elizabeth had hooted. And she and Ellen laughed so hard they almost
dropped their fancy tea cups.

Chris had sat on the velvet beige couch feeling like a frog on a stump. As much as she
hated both their upper-class manners, she envied them also. She stared down at her faded
denims, remembering the way the doorman had looked at her when she entered the
building with Ellen.

"And what does your father do?“ Elizabeth asked when she had finally stopped
laughing.

Chris was about to blurt that her father worked for the sanitation department, which
was true, but caught herself in time.

"He‘s an engineer,“ she said, telling a half-truth.

"Oh!“ Elizabeth had said, impressed and not quite believing. "What kind of engineer?
Civil, electrical?“

"Sanitation,“ Chris had answered simply, hating her inability to lie.

"You mean he‘s a GARBAGE MAN!“ Elizabeth had shrieked. "Oh dear God! Ellen wherever
did you meet this girl? Why she‘s absolutely QUAINT!“ Ellen had blushed. "Well,“ she said,
"she IS a little primitive!“ And she had patted Chris on the back.

Chris recoiled from this patronizing gesture from Ellen but Ellen was so wrapped up
in discussing her latest sculpture, she hadn‘t even noticed.

Chris thought grimly to herself that if it wasn‘t for her slinging hash in some Village dive
Ellen would be out in the street giving her fucking sculptures away, and ground her teeth.

"What IS that noise?“ Elizabeth had demanded, tilting her head like some
aristocratic bird.

Chris had stopped grinding her teeth then, preferring not to admit it was she who was
responsible for the grating sound.

"Thank God it‘s stopped!“ Elizabeth said. "It sounded like someone was grinding their
teeth! We had a dog that did that once. I found it so annoying I had him destroyed!“

"Not Pooh Bear?“ Ellen had gasped. "I thought you loved him!“

"I did,“ Elizabeth admitted, helping herself to another watercress sandwich, "but I
just couldn‘t take that noise!“ Chris stared at Elizabeth as though she had come from
another planet. She didn‘t think women like Elizabeth really existed other than in the
movies, but here she was, sitting with one right now! "More tea?“ Elizabeth had asked Chris.
Chris stared into her empty cup. "No thanks,“ she said. "I‘d rather have a beer if you have
one.“

"A beer!“ Elizabeth had croaked. "Why it‘s only three o‘clock in the afternoon!“ She
looked distastefully at Chris and then swung her gaze to Ellen, who shrugged.

"Yeah, a beer!“ Chris repeated.

Elizabeth was startled by this and jumped off the couch. "Of course!“ she said and
disappeared towards the kitchen. It was at this point in life that it dawned on Chris that
people generally dished out just as much as they thought you would take.

Several beers later and Chris was beginning to feel fearless about Elizabeth. She
thought she was a vain, helplessly childish and useless woman, far inferior to her.

With the alcohol swimming around on her frontal lobes, she waited for Elizabeth to
make one more smart remark. But it seemed as though Elizabeth knew that Chris would be
dangerous with a few drinks inside her. Like an Indian.

Chris now knew why the white man didn‘t want the Indians drinking. They claimed that
Indians were affected in a strange way by alcohol, but Chris just bet that Indians
started acting like men around white folks, not acting like the subservient savages white
folks wanted them to. The myth of Indians and alcohol, Chris thought, was probably just
one more lie white men had forced on their culture.

But the thing that really pissed Chris off was the way Ellen made no attempt to defend
her. In fact, she seemed to enjoy the way Chris‘s presence amused the shit out of Elizabeth,
and for that, Chris could never forgive her.

As they rode back in the cab together, Chris had wanted to talk about it. She expected
Ellen to apologize for her lack of defense, but instead she started right in, berating
Chris was her lack of couth.

"Couth!“ Chris had shouted. "What the fuck are you talking about? You‘re the one who
showed no class! You‘re supposed to be in love with me and you let that bitch make fun of
me all afternoon!“

"I don‘t know what I see in you!“ Ellen had sniffed. She looked out the window. Chris
grabbed her viciously between her thighs and gave a tight squeeze. "This, baby!“ she told
her. "THIS is what you dig in me!“

Ellen had fallen silent then and Chris felt she had won. Later, that night in bed with Ellen
sobbing all over the place about what a wonderful lover Chris was and how she didn‘t know
how she could live without her, Chris almost threw up.

That‘s the way it always went between them. When Chris was making love to Ellen she
felt like her equal, if not her superior. But when they were in a social situation Ellen made
Chris feel like the clod she always suspected she was.

It wasn‘t her fault that she was so large and awkward! As far as agility went, her tongue
could stand up with the rest of them. Especially when it was buried in Ellen‘s cunt. Chris‘s
problem was that her tongue refused to perform in the talking department.

Sometimes, when Ellen had her fancy artist friends over, it was insufferable to Chris.
She had to wait on them as though she was a servant to Ellen, instead of her lover. Ellen
had many friends, though they all seemed like jerks to Chris. The guys were all gay and the
girls were either nuts like Elizabeth or so spaced out on their "art“, they couldn‘t relate to
real people like herself!

To Chris, being real meant being crude, Ellen had said. This simply was not the case, she
went on to instruct, (right in a roomful of people!). This was the afternoon Ellen was
celebrating her fortieth birthday though she told everyone else she was thirty-five!

Chris had been drinking for most of the day, and when it came time for Chris to carry out
the cake, she had had just about enough.

As she advanced into the dining room with the cake between her hands, she almost fell
twice from drinking and her clumsiness hadn‘t escaped the guests.

"Looks like your "friend“ has been juicing it up,“ an art dealer from uptown said to Ellen
as though Chris wasn‘t even there.

"Yes Ellen darling,“ another one had piped up, "are you so difficult to live with you have
to keep the help stoned?“

The party of five that were assembled around the table burst into gales of laughter at this
and Chris stood there, holding the cake and staring through her blurred vision at the
guests.

"Let‘s talk about something important,“ another woman said.

"No, let‘s sing Happy Birthday,“ another suggested. This suggestion went over real
big with the group and they lustily burst into Happy Birthday, though Chris noted that half
of them forgot Ellen‘s name!

When they had just finished the song, Chris had lurched into the dining room. As she
struggled to set the cake in front of Ellen‘s place, she fell. Struggling vainly to catch the cake,
she managed to seize its mangled ruins only to smash it into Ellen‘s face in the process.

The guests stared at the spectacle of Ellen sitting at the head of the table, the entire
part of her top body covered with frosting and bit of crumbs.

There was deathly silence from everyone until Art, another sculptor, burst into high,
uncontrollable laughter. Pointing his finger at Ellen, he choked: "If only I had my
camera!“

His laughter broke the tension at the table and the rest joined in merrily. The only one
who wasn‘t laughing was Ellen. Finally they noticed this and their laughter died down.

"Are you quite through?“ Ellen demanded between the layers of frosting that
obscured her face from their view. Her voice was as cold as ice.

"Chris!“ she snapped. "Where are you?“

"Here,“ Chris had mumbled thickly from where she still lay on the floor.

"Come over here this instant,“ Ellen had commandeered, her voice still icy, "and lick
this cake off my face!“

No one dared to breathe.

Chris rose on one knee and stared at the mass of goo that covered Ellen.

"All of it?“ she asked.

"Every single last drop!“ Ellen had said shrilly.

Guiltily, Chris began licking the cake off Ellen‘s face. The others stared fascinated at
this spectacle, so engrossed were they in the perversion of the act, they didn‘t even seem
to realize that now they wouldn‘t get any cake!

When Chris had licked the entire cake off Ellen‘s head in about fifteen minutes, Ellen
blinked coldly at her. Then she said in a steel voice: "Now go and bake me another one!“

Chris had stared at her in disbelief. It had taken her all day to bake THAT one! "Aw no,“
she protested. "Ellen! Don‘t make me do it!“

"Goodbye,“ Ellen had said, turning back to her guests. Chris had stood there for a
minute or so, staring at Ellen‘s back dumbly. Then she turned on her drunken heels and
stumbled back into the hot kitchen. Ellen heard the pots and pans banging around and said
to the others, "Well, now that we have had our touch of levity, perhaps we can get on with
the celebration of my birthday!“ And they had all gone into the living room to sing songs
around the piano while Chris stayed in the kitchen trying to bake another cake.

She was still there the next morning though the guests had gone long ago.

She never did manage to bake another cake and Ellen had never forgiven her for it.

For several weeks she had refused to talk to Chris other than . to give simple commands
like: "eat my cunt!“

"Make my dinner!“

"Wash my underwear!“

Chris had put up with this bullshit for almost a week before her brain began to snap.
Losing her temper in a fit of drunken passion, she had forced Ellen‘s head under the tap
in the tub, threatening to drown her.

Finally Ellen had begged for mercy and Chris had gotten bored with her game. She
released her and slept on the couch that night.

Now, while eating out Ellen‘s cunt, these memories served to remind her of the real
reason she was here and her old hatred flamed afresh.

She began nibbling on Ellen‘s clit, taking little baby bites in preparation for the big
one.

"Oh!“ Ellen was babbling. "You haven‘t lost your touch! How I envy Lila!“ Hearing Lila‘s
name set off new waves of anger and purpose within Chris and this time she was so bold as
to actually bite into Ellen‘s clit.

"Ow!“ Ellen protested. "Not so rough, my dear!“ Right then and there, Chris seized
Ellen‘s large clit between her teeth and hung on for dear life. The shriek that escaped Ellen‘s
lips would have brought the entire building to her apartment had not Chris cut it off
mid-scream with her broad palm.

Then she stood up over the still prostrate Ellen who was holding her cunt with both
hands and moaning.

"Who‘s a primitive?“ she demanded, kicking Ellen in the ribs when she didn‘t answer
instantly.

"I am!“ Ellen sobbed.

"Who is going to stay up all night in the kitchen and bake ME a cake?“ Chris asked
angrily, kicking Ellen again even before she got a chance to answer.

"I am!“ Ellen yelled.

"Who is better than who?“ Chris asked not caring her grammar was probably
incorrect.

"You‘re the best!“ Ellen screamed. "You‘re a better person than I could ever hope to be!“

"Now you‘re talking!“ Chris said with a great deal of satisfaction. She was having so
much fun at Ellen‘s expense, she seriously considered moving back in with her so they
could continue this game forever! Finally Chris stopped kicking Ellen‘s inert body and told
her to get off the floor.

"I can‘t move!“ Ellen wailed.

"Get off the floor right now and make me something to eat!“ Chris ordered.

Ellen struggled painfully to her feet and staggered towards the kitchen. Chris went into
the living room, sat down in Ellen‘s chair and kicked off her shoes. Flipping the remote
control button that brought the TV on, Chris sighed with contentment. This was even
better than living with Lila! With Lila, Chris had to be the slave. She decided it was better to
be a master any day of the week.

"Hurry it up in there!“ she shouted towards the kitchen.

To think that she had put up with all that bullshit before was now inconceivable to
Chris! She felt elated with power as though she had found her true place in the sun. Fuck
trying to be good and decent, she decided to herself. All that ended up in was her eating
other people‘s shit!

Ellen entered the room then, holding a tray in her hands full of steaming food.

"I hope you didn‘t try and poison me,“ Chris asked, as it suddenly occurred to her.

"Of course not!“ Ellen protested, going into her superior sniffing routine.

"You eat it first,“ Chris ordered. "Get down on your knees and open your mouth. Now!“ she
roared when Ellen dumbly stared at her.

Ellen dropped to her knees and suffered the humiliation of eating out of Chris‘s dish
like a dog.

When Chris was satisfied she wouldn‘t keel over from Ellen‘s cooking, she snatched the
plate away from Ellen and ravaged the rest of the meal.

Then she made Ellen leave the kitchen spotless, adding that she would force her to eat
a cockroach if she found one.

Not only was Chris getting a great deal of enjoyment out of this reversal in their roles,
it seemed to her that Ellen was too. This was the only way she would be able to live with
Ellen, or anyone, that way again.

"I‘m moving in,“ she told Ellen. "Starting right now. And I‘m going to tell you
something else ... " she started to say, when Ellen interrupted with, "what about Lila?“

"Shut up when I‘m talking,“ Chris said, hauling off and knocking Ellen in the head. "I‘m
not finished.“

And she stretched expansively in the chair.

"To begin with,“ she said, "I‘m throwing out every single piece of sculpture that you
can‘t sell in a week. That‘s it. I‘m only giving you a week to prove what kind of artist you are.
If you are left with any of your work, I‘m throwing it out and I‘LL start painting! YOU can be
the waitress and I‘ll be the one that stays home. Now I‘m warning you. Don‘t think I won‘t
find out if you get all your friends to buy that junk either!“

At this point, Ellen began to cry. Real tears poured out of her face, much to the
amusement of Chris.

"Blow your nose!“ she ordered. "And stop that sniveling!“ But Ellen couldn‘t stop. She
could just see how their life together was going to be! Not the way it used to be, that was
for sure! Chris would probably bring all her uncouth friends over, the ones who played pool,
and she, Ellen, New England bred and raised would be forced to cook and clean for them!
The prospect of this horror sent Ellen off on a fresh group of tears and wails.

But to Chris who already was planning on heaving the grand piano out and replacing
it with a juke box, nothing could wipe the smile off her face. Not even the fact that Lila was
gone.

Chris knew that with Lila, her life would have been one hellish repeat of the grief she had
previously known with Ellen. Now that she had been lucky enough to turn the tables
around, nothing but nothing could ever make her pursue the likes of Lila again.

In fact, so pleased was Chris that Lila had split, leaving the way to something like this,
she even hoped that whomever found her would make her as happy as she was feeling right
now.

"Get me a beer,“ she ordered the sobbing Ellen. "And hurry it up.“ Ellen returned with
the beer and handed it to Chris. She stared at Chris with wonder. A terrible thought had
occurred to her. What if she wasn‘t able to sell her sculptures? What if she couldn‘t even
GIVE them away? That would be horrible. And then a worse thought occurred to her.

What if Chris became a successful artist? The idea that Chris might be more talented
than her, sent Ellen off into a fit of choking sobs that lasted for several days.

CHAPTER EIGHT

Phil had his cock out now and was staring at it. So was everyone else in the room.

"Nice, huh?“ he asked, waving it playfully at the three girls.

"Not bad,“ Tina sniffed. "I‘ve seen better!“

"I‘ll bet you have,“ Phil answered good-naturedly.

Carol stared at her father‘s weapon. So this is what had caused her all those years of grief!

It didn‘t look so threatening now. In fact, it looked kind of friendly! But Phil was
concentrating on Tina‘s face. He longed to shove his cock between her lips.

"Hey, Tina!“ he called across the room to her. "How much would you want for a blow-job?“

Tina looked at him. She had never been so openly propositioned before in her entire
career in the sky. But somehow, because it came from Phil, she was not offended.

"How much is it worth to you?“ she countered.

Phil thought quickly. He had several hundred dollars cash in his wallet.

"A hundred?“ he asked her.

Tina was thinking.

"Go on!“ Lila urged. "Do it! I‘d like to watch!“

"Yeah,“ Carol chimed in. "Suck my Dad‘s cock. That‘ll be a gas!“ Tina was sorely tempted,
as much by the money as by the fact that she wanted to please her audience.

"One hundred and fifty,“ she told, Phil.

"Okay,“ Phil said. Shit! He would have given her everything he had, if she had asked for it.

Tina came over to the couch and dropped to her knees in front of it. Lifting the cock in
her hand, she began milking it slowly back and forth before placing it in her mouth.

Lila had moved closer to Carol, putting her arm around her as though they were two girls
peering into the bedroom of their parents.

Tina was going to town now on Phil‘s cock. She was getting so involved in what she was
doing, her own hips began moving back and forth in rhythm to the sucking motions she
was applying to Phil‘s prick.

Lila looked at Carol. She wanted to eat out Tina while Tina was sucking on Carol‘s old
man, but she didn‘t know how to bring this up.

But Carol also had the same idea and she was inching towards Tina. Lila went right along
with her, and as she realized Carol‘s intentions, a flash of jealousy swept through her body.

She wasn‘t sure whether or not she was jealous that Carol might get the first few licks in,
or that she wanted to eat out Tina at all. She decided it was a mixture of both.

Tina had Phil‘s cock halfway down her throat now. Her eyes were closed and her mouth
never stopped moving. She wanted to bring him off quickly, pick up her money and get it on
with the two girls. Opening her eyes for a second or so, she saw Carol approaching her. She
got fully on her knees so that her ass and cunt were jutting straight out from her back into
Carol‘s face.

Carol began licking Tina‘s cunt and Lila, feeling totally left out, promptly chomped onto
Carol‘s twat.

Phil watched the long line that stemmed out from his joint and a thrill rippled through
him. He held Tina by the head, wondering how it was a lesbian could be such a good
cocksucker as well.

Must be their oral orientation, he thought, guessing around wildly for some sort of
explanation that would soothe his ego as well.

Tina had his balls in her mouth now. She would suckle one and then the other, letting
them drop out of her mouth one at a time like fat plums. Then she tried stuffing both of
them in her mouth. Her increased erotic devotion stemmed from the sensations she was
receiving simultaneously from Carol‘s mouth at her cunt.

Tina dug group sex. It seemed like such a friendly thing to do. In fact, if she wasn‘t so
preoccupied, she would have gone to the phone and called a few people. As it was, she
could hardly believe that she hadn‘t slept in two days! She was as full of energy as she could
be and Phil, was the happy recipient of her increased ardor.

He knew that he would soon come and he didn‘t want to, just yet. At his age it wasn‘t
always easy to get it up anymore and when he did have it up, he liked to keep it that way.

He watched Carol‘s face as it disappeared between Tina‘s thighs and wondered how he
could have been so lucky to have such a fine daughter. How many other men were they, he
wondered, who could say that they received a blow-job from their lesbian daughter‘s
friend, who was bi? His heart swelled with as much pride as his cock which was about to erupt
into Tina‘s mouth.

He began rutting back and forth on the couch, pushing his hips in and out as his cock
disappeared deeper and deeper into Tina‘s throat.

Phil had heard that some girls had been killed this way, choking, to death on a lodged
prick. These stories had always filled Phil with wonder, but now that his own cock was firmly
wedged down Tina‘s throat he knew that nothing short of an earthquake would have moved
him.

As for Carol, she could feel Lila‘s mouth on her cunt and she realized that this was only
the second time she had been to bed with Lila. How odd, she thought, that they should be
making it under these circumstances! Yet, that‘s exactly the way things always usually
happened, not like they did in books!

Even though she had her tongue dug in Tina‘s cunt, she loved Lila nonetheless. And for
the first time in Carol‘s life, she lost her desire for exclusive possessiveness and
understood how these things were possible.

She also understood Lila better now too. Knowing that Lila might want to fuck around
with others, yet still be faithful to her in her own fashion, gave Carol great hope that their
relationship could survive.

She felt Tina‘s hot bush hairs steaming onto her face, covering her nose and filling her
mouth with her juices. She pretended that she was eating out Lila, for that was what she
really wanted to do.

Then why the fuck not? She asked herself. As suddenly as the thought had occurred to
her, she ceased eating out Tina‘s box and turned to reach for Lila. Assuming the 69
position, Carol licked and lapped away at Lila‘s hole, happier than a pig in shit.

Tina missed the attention shown to her aroused cunt and she swung her body around so
that Phil could finish what his daughter had started. Being so close to climax himself, Phil
was happy to plunge his face between Tina‘s thighs and ream her cunt with his expert
tongue.

The music in the background never broke for commercial interruption and for this
all were grateful. How disturbing that would have been to them when all four welcomed
the background it provided to their own lust, fueling their fantasies with memories and
hopes for the future.

Phil longed to fuck Carol for old times sake. It was his theory that once they had
repeated the traumatic experience of their first encounter both would be free to go on
from there.

But he was nearing his climax now and was about to shoot his load down Tina‘s throat.
He opened his eyes and looked over at his daughter. If he shot half his load down Tina‘s
throat and sprayed the rest over Carol‘s body he would make contact, however small, with
her.

The come was roiling around in his balls now, threatening any second to erupt in a
molten lava of semen. Squeezing his eyes shut, Phil gave himself over to the exquisite
pleasures that racked his being.

Splat! Splat! Splat! His come shot out of his cock and splashed against the insides of
Tina‘s mouth. Tina didn‘t mind sucking cock, but hundred bucks or no, she wasn‘t about to
swallow his seed.

When she started gagging on the bitter fluid, Phil seized this opportunity to aim the
remaining spurts at Carol. Carol felt the hot sticky gism hit her naked back and stopped
eating out Lila long enough to stare at the crazed, glazed look her father wore in his eyes.

"I love you, Carol!“ he shouted aloud.

Carol was too astonished to answer and Tina‘s angry command that Phil return to her
cunt ended any exchange father and daughter might have shared.

Inspired by her father‘s heroic attempts to communicate in his peculiar fashion with
her, Carol resumed eating out Lila‘s cunt with relish.

Lila hadn‘t understood what the interruption was all about. She was too intent on the
business at hand and her own approaching climax.

She lapped away at Carol‘s cunt, sticking her fingers into her hole and feeling Carol‘s
vaginal muscles tighten around them. As far as she could tell, Carol was very close to
climaxing and she wanted it to be good for her in appreciation of this free trip to San
Francisco.

Chris and her life in New York seemed very far from Lila at this point and she dreaded
returning there.

Just then, Carol‘s writhing body became even more spastic. As she thrust and ground
her hips and squeezed her thighs even tighter around Lila‘s head, both girls exploded with
intense, clitoral climaxes.

Later, as all four sat together sharing an after-dinner drink, Tina sat counting her
money.

She was seriously considering going into the cocksucking business. As far as she
was concerned, cleaning up after passenger‘s vomit was a lot worse.

"You got any horny friends?“ she asked Phil eagerly. She felt close to him and free to ask
anything.

Phil smiled. "Yeah,“ he told her. "But honey you‘ll have to swallow their come if you
expect to command those high prices!“

"Maybe I‘ll lower my price,“ Tina said thoughtfully.

"Why don‘t you learn how to develop a taste for come?“ Lila piped up cheerfully. Tina
made a face. "Look who‘s talking!“ she jeered. "You probably never sucked a cock in your
life!“

Carol listened to this exchange and thought about the implications of consciously
sleeping with her father. But she wanted him to suggest it. Never in her life would she give
her father the impression she had missed his scene!

Phil gave Tina several numbers to call and Tina carefully wrote them down in her
address book. "At least it‘s better than dealing in dope,“ she said. Though the real reason
Tina didn‘t deal was because too many of her friends had been killed doing it!

"Come here, honey,“ Phil invited, patting the spot next to him on the couch. "Why are
you pacing around like a caged animal? You should be relaxed after what you just went
through,“ and he gave Lila a warm smile.

Lila smiled back at Phil. She wished she had a father like Carol‘s and wondered why Carol
acted so strangely around him.

"Would anyone mind if I went for a ride with Phil?“ Carol asked suddenly. She was tired
of being in the hot apartment.

"Fine with me,“ Tina said. "I‘m about ready to get some shut-eye.“

"Me too,“ Lila said.

Carol looked sharply at Lila, thinking to herself how the minute her back was turned, Lila
would probably fly into Tina‘s arms. And then she realized that it didn‘t make any
difference. Lila would be faithful in her fashion and nothing Carol could command of her
in that direction would change anything.

Phil and Carol left the apartment then, Phil‘s heart racing. He was happy she had spoken
first, not wanting to rudely suggest she leave her friends.

"I like that Lila,“ he said as they rode down in the elevator together. "I‘m glad I got a
chance to meet her.“

"I am too,“ Carol said. Then another thought occurred to her. "Do you have any friends
in advertising out here?“ she asked. "I mean, do you think I could move out here and work?“

"I don‘t see why not,“ Phil answered, leading the way to his car.

He drove to the Golden Gate and crossed into the town of Sausito.

"I thought you‘d like to see the city from the other side,“ he explained, parking the car.

"I guess that‘s what you had in mind when you took me to Europe,“ Carol said ruefully.

When Phil saw how gracefully she was taking what he knew was a painful experience
for her, he reached out and pulled her close to him.

"I‘ve got a good view from my penthouse,“ he told her, starting the motor on his
Porsche. "Let‘s take advantage of it.“

They roared back across the bridge, each busy with their own thoughts. Once up inside
Phil‘s apartment, Carol did admire the view, but she hadn‘t begged off from the company
of Tina and Lila to look out the window.

"Don‘t you have something to say to me,“ she began.

Phil kept his gaze averted from her. "Yes,“ he admitted. "I‘m sorry.“

"That‘s all?“ Carol asked, and Phil thought to himself that she was as cold as her mother.

"I had hoped,“ he began slowly, keeping his face averted from her gaze, "that if we made
love now it would help you over that experience.“

"I‘ve given it a lot of thought too,“ Carol admitted, "but I don‘t think it‘s necessary.“

"But I‘d like that very much,“ Phil insisted. "I really would!“ Carol couldn‘t help but laugh.
"I‘m sure you would, Phil,“ she said. "But I‘m not sure I would!“

"But how are you ever going to know if you don‘t try!“ Phil said. "Come on, Carol honey.
Give your old man a piece!“ He was looking her full in the face now, his eyes imploring.
What if she refused him? "Look, Dad,“ Carol said, lapsing by error into the use of a term she
rarely applied to her father, "why don‘t we just shake hands and forget the whole thing?“

"You mean it?“ Phil asked, eager to accept any terms that would erase his guilt.

Carol stuck her hand out and shook her father‘s palm firmly. "Yes, I do,“ she said, giving it
an extra shake for emphasis.

"But what do you want from me?“ her father asked, "now that I‘ve fucked you up?“

"You haven‘t fucked me up at all,“ Carol said. "In fact, I can‘t remember being so happy.
Nothing in my past can compare with the joy I feel right now.“

"I hope you‘re not just saying this to avoid hurting my feelings,“ Phil said, but he felt
relieved not to have to carry out his weird experiment.

"Look, Phil,“ Carol said. "Hi grant you that you might have fucked with my head, but as
long as I can forgive you and you can keep the money coming, I can get over it.“

"Well, you‘ve changed,“ Phil said. "I can remember when you wanted to earn your own
way.“

"But I do want to earn my own way,“ Carol insisted. "What comes from you is only a
bonus. Don‘t worry, someday.! Might pay you all back.“

Phil hugged her. "Okay, honey,“ he said.

Carol looked at her watch. She yearned to return to Tina‘s apartment and Lila‘s arms.

Saying goodnight to her father, Carol took advantage of the deserted streets to
appraise the city. She didn‘t feel frightened in Frisco as she did in New York, even though she
should have been. Just as she was about to turn into Tina‘s apartment entrance, a shadow
moved behind her.

"Hello?“ Carol cried. "Who is it?“

Her heart was pounding faster and faster. How was it she was always getting into shit
like this? Couldn‘t she live a normal, simple life like most people. Did everyday have to have
the drama of a Mary Hartman?

For an answer to her pleas to know who was behind her, a hand covered her mouth and
dragged her towards a parked car. Tossing her inside as easily as a feather, the car sped
away.

Carol struggled against this new indignity to her well-being, fighting vainly to identify
the two men who now had her life in their hands. She hoped they didn‘t plan on raping her.

"Who are you!“ she cried, but all she got was silence for an answer.

"Where are we going?“ Carol asked. Again, no answer. Finally the car stopped at a
warehouse and Carol was dragged unceremoniously out from the back seat. The next
thing she knew, she was in a small room with a naked light bulb hanging off the ceiling. Two
men were sitting at the table playing gin rummy and a woman wearing a mask was also
there.

Even with the mask, Carol knew this was Elizabeth, her mother. She must have had me
followed, Carol realized. This was a day and a half of confrontation for her!

Maybe she could get rid of the bugaboo of her mother as easily as she had with her
father. It was worth a try anyway.

"Hi, Mom,“ Carol said.

The face behind the mask moved sharply.

"How did you know it was me?“ she asked, removing the mask to reveal the
disappointed face the mask had done much to conceal.

"Mom,“ Carol pleaded. "I know you never liked me, but why this? And why now!“

"Now is as good as time as ever,“ Elizabeth said crisply. "All right gentlemen,“ she said
to the two thugs that had brought Carol into the warehouse, "you may go now.“ And she
handed them each an envelope.

"Oh come off it!“ Carol shouted. "You‘ve been watching too much television.“

"I‘ve never liked you,“ her mother said, "and your continued existence has now meant a
financial inconvenience as well.“ She looked at the two men who were still sitting at the
table though they had put the cards away.

"This here is Dr. Candle,“ Elizabeth went on. "He is ready to sign you into a private
sanatorium unless you sign your inheritance over to me.“

Carol thought quickly. Which was more important to her, her freedom or the money?
Was one possible without the other? Would Lila like her if she was poor and had to work in
advertising for a living? Shit! She HAD to find out.

"All right,“ she said, her voice heavy with resignation, "I‘ll sign.“ Dr. Candle pushed a
paper towards her and Carol hastily scribbled her signature on it, hoping it was the
correct paper.

Elizabeth‘s mood became all expansive and happy now that Carol had been so easy to
break.

"Can we give you a lift back to that stewardess‘s apartment?“ she asked as though they
had become the best of friends.

Carol accepted their offer. She would have preferred to walk, but as her last stroll had
turned out so disastrously, she decided against it.

"Let me out here,“ she ordered as they pulled onto the street where Tina lived. "I want to
walk the rest of the way.“

Though her encounter with her mother hadn‘t been as successful as the one she had
had with Phil, Carol still felt a pang of remorse as she said goodbye to the frivolous
Elizabeth.

"I hope you enjoy your ill-gotten gains,“ she said sarcastically getting out of the car.

Elizabeth didn‘t answer. She was firmly held by the so-called Dr. Candle who was
embracing her.

Filled with disgust, Carol resumed her walk towards Tina‘s apartment and the waiting
Lila.

As she strolled along, feeling that at last she had rid herself of the only true bugaboo
left in her life, her spirits began to lift. She would tell her father all about the true nature of
her encounter with Elizabeth of course, and he would probably arrange for her to get her
money anyway, but she didn‘t care.

She was looking forward to starting off fresh in Frisco and if Lila wasn‘t ready for her
scene, well, fuck Lila too.

Because she had neglected to take a key .from Tina she was forced to wake her up to
open the apartment for her.

"Oh,“ Tina said, rubbing her eyes. "It‘s you.“ Carol stepped quickly into the apartment
hoping to catch Lila doing something, but Lila was asleep on the couch. Not wishing to
bother her, but barely able to contain her news for the next day, Carol swallowed her
eagerness and accepted Tina‘s offer that she sleep with her.

As she fell off to fitful dreams, Carol vowed to herself that from now on things would be
different in the way she related to people. No sooner had she vowed this when Tina was
nudging her.

"Stop yelling in your sleep!“ she complained.

Carol awoke with a start. "I‘m sorry,“ she said. "What was I saying?“

"I don‘t know, honey,“ Tina yawned, "something about killing Elizabeth or some chick.“
Carol reached for Tina. "I like you,“ she said. "Hold me tonight. I don‘t feel good.“ Tina took
Carol into her arms, hoping that her amorous desires wouldn‘t start at this ungodly hour
of the morning! But Carol was asleep before she could even give it a second thought.

The next day when Carol woke, Tina was gone and Lila was making her breakfast. Carol
sat in the little breakfast nook and watched how Lila was trying to make her happy.

She decided now was a good time to lay the bomb on her head that they wouldn‘t be
having any money much longer.

"You mean you gave into your mother‘s demands just like that?“ Lila cried.

Carol studied her carefully. "That‘s right, I bought my freedom.“

"Oh,“ Lila said. "Well, I guess I can always get a job to help out.“ She sat Carol‘s breakfast
in front of her. Carol reached up to grab Lila around the waist, kissing her on her tits.

"You‘re great,“ she told her. "You mean you still want to be with me, even though I‘m not
Miss Rich Bitch anymore?“

"Yeah,“ Lila said, feeling uncomfortable. "I do.“ She was shocked herself. But the time
she had spent with Carol had been so much fun for her, Lila had decided to stick with her
until something better came along.

After breakfast they explored the city ending their excursion in Phil‘s apartment.

Phil listened to Carol exploits and decided that maybe Elizabeth was right and Carol was
nuts after all.

"Well, I wouldn‘t worry about it,“ he said. "I‘ve got enough on that bitch to make sure she
doesn‘t get a fucking dime.“

"Say!“ he boomed. "How would the two of you like to live here? I‘m rarely home and it will
be just like your own apartment.“

Lila was about to blurt that that sounded great to her, but she looked at Carol instead.

"No thanks,“ Carol said. "I‘d rather have my own place. No offense Dad, but I know you‘ll
understand.“

"Hey! I‘ve got it,“ he said. "Why don‘t the three of us have dinner. My treat,“ he added
expansively.

They ate at Ernie‘s and then went to Tina‘s to get their luggage. Though it was too late
right now to find an apartment, Carol insisted on moving into a hotel with Lila.

"Okay, honey,“ she announced when the porter had set their bags down. "This is it. Just
me and you from now on! How does that strike you?“

For her answer, Lila went into Carol‘s arms. "Let‘s go to bed,“ she suggested, tugging at
Carol and trying to maneuver her onto the large mattress. As far as Lila was concerned,
Carol was the closest person she had ever found to Eileen and she hoped they would be
together forever.

As they undressed and climbed into bed, the phone rang.

"Oh shit!“ Carol exploded, moving her mouth away from Lila‘s tit and reaching for the
phone.

"Yeah?“ she grumbled into the mouthpiece.

"Carol!“ a woman‘s voice said. "It‘s me, Ellen!“

"How the fuck did you know where I was?“ Carol demanded, not at all pleased by the
interruption.

"Phil told me,“ Ellen said hurriedly. "Listen is Lila with you?“

"Who wants to know?“ Carol asked suspiciously. Shit! Would they ever escape
then-past? She was beginning to doubt it.

"Chris,“ Ellen replied.

At the mention of Chris, Carol‘s tone became even more guarded.

"No listen, it‘s all right,“ Ellen was saying. "I just want you to tell that little bitch that she
had better forget about Chris because the two of us are back together.“

Carol looked at Lila, lying impatiently a few inches from her side.

"I‘m sure the last person in the world that Lila is thinking about is Chris,“ she said dryly.

"Oh?“ Ellen said. She sounded disappointed.

"Well,“ she went on, "I can‘t talk much longer. Chris only lets me make one phone call a
week, and this is my phone call for this week.“

"Well I‘m glad to hear that,“ Carol said. It amused her to think how Chris and Ellen most
have had to swap roles entirely to set up that arrangement. One thing Carol was
determined to do was not get into any role-playing at all with Lila. They would start out on
the right foot and hopefully they would end up there.

"Well, goodbye,“ Carol said, replacing the mouthpiece in its cradle.

She didn‘t hear whether or not Ellen answered. Turning to Lila, she didn‘t even care.
